Regenerative media filtration
11167226 · 2021-11-09 · ·

A method of cleaning a regenerative filter having a filter housing having inlet and outlet zones, a fluid path provided between the inlet and outlet zones, and a plurality of filter elements each having an outer surface filter media applied thereto and functioning to filter particulate or contaminants from the fluid path, the method comprising draining all fluids from the filter housing, refilling the filter housing with fluid to an optimum level, and initiating a cleaning sequence of the filter housing with the fluid at the optimum level. The cleaning sequence can comprise agitating the tube sheet, initiating a pump to effectively air scour for a first predetermined amount of time, dwelling for a second predetermined amount of time, and repeating the agitating, initiating, and dwelling until a third predetermined amount of time is complete.

Method and apparatus for screening

Methods and apparatuses for screening are provided. Embodiments include a screen basket apparatus for screening material, comprising a grid frame having a plurality of openings arranged in a lattice and a plurality of screening cartridge assemblies affixed to the grid frame to cover the respective openings of the grid frame. The screening cartridge assembly includes a case and a screen assembly fitted into the case, and may be affixed to a set of transversal member of the grid frame. The case may be formed of a single injection molded piece integrally formed by injection molding one of a polyurethane or a thermoset polymer. The screening elements together form a generally continuous screening surface across the exterior of the grid frame, which reduces blinding and is resistant to wear and tear.

Filtration device and filtration method

A filtration device includes a container, a channel member, and a filter. The container has a space of variable volume that contains a liquid, the liquid including a target substance to be separated by filtration. The channel member includes a channel and an opening that are defined therein, the opening being provided at a position along the channel in a direction transverse to the direction in which the channel extends. The channel member has an attachment part to which the container is attached and which provides communication between the space in the container and the channel. The filter is attached inside the channel member and positioned at the opening.

Skimming devices and related methods

Skimming devices may use pressurized water from, for example, a return line of a swimming pool or spa. The devices may be adjustable vertically and levelled relative to an upper water surface (waterline) of a pool. They additionally may create “blades” of debris-laden pool water entering their floating heads so as to move debris smoothly and efficiently over wings or foils into associated filters.

SOLID-LIQUID SEPARATOR AND SOLID-LIQUID SEPARATION SYSTEM

A solid-liquid separator that separates solid particles from a fluid in which the solid particles are dispersed includes: a flow channel part where a linear flow channel into which the fluid is introduced is formed; and an ultrasonic vibrator as a secondary flow generation mechanism that generates a secondary flow in a cross-section direction in the fluid flowing on an upstream side of the flow channel. The flow channel includes a rectangular cross section defined by a flow channel width and a flow channel height perpendicular to the flow channel width. An aspect ratio of the cross section at least on a downstream side from the secondary flow generation mechanism in the flow channel is in a range from 10 to 100, the aspect ratio being expressed by a ratio of the flow channel width to the flow channel height.

Portable liquid filter devices, systems and methods

Methods, devices and systems for treating liquid utilizing an in-line filter having a filter bag positioned within a cage contained in an exit sub-chamber of a housing, the exit sub-chamber isolated from an inlet sub-chamber by a baffle, and an end cap to alternatively seal the inlet sub-chamber so that in one mode the device may function as a screen having an exposed filter bag when the exit end of the device is connected to a suction side of a pump and in another mode as a closed vessel where the end cap is connected to a discharge of a pump or in a further mode where the exit end is connected to a suction side of a pump. The low profile, lightweight, inline filter device provides for versatility and a much needed filter device for two modes of connection to a suction side of a pump while also able to connect to a discharge side of a pump.

MICROPLASTIC EFFLUENT SEPARATOR WITH WASH APPARATUS

The invention relates to preventing microplastics from the entering the environment. In particular the invention is directed to regenerating the efficiency of filters for removing microfibers from washing machine waste water, as well as waste from other appliances and other sources of effluent with entrained microplastics. A separator is therefore provided for separating microplastics from waste water comprising a chamber with an inlet and an outlet, at least one sieve structure forming a permeable barrier between the inlet and the outlet and a wash apparatus for washing the sieve structure.
