Filtration device
A filtration apparatus for filtering and separating solids from liquids is provided that includes at least one liquid-permeable, continuously or intermittently drivable filter belt, an intake for charging the liquid/solid mixture to be filtered onto the filter belt in a charging zone and a belt cleaner for removing the solids deposited at the filter belt from a belt section conveyed out of the charging zone in an expulsion zone. The belt cleaner has at least one rotatingly drivable brush with which a brush cleaner having a scraper is associated which is arranged in the path of the bristles of the rotating brush. The rotating brush efficiently removes the deposited solids from the filter belt, while the scraper of the brush cleaner simultaneously ensures that the dissolved solids do not settle at the brush and clog it.
POND PUMP WITH A SELF-CLEANING FILTER UNIT
A pump-and-filter assembly for use in a pond, pool, or fountain. The pump unit creates a flow of water into an intake port and out through a discharge port and a filter unit mounted in front of the pump unit for filtering water flowing through the pump. The filter unit has a turbulence-producing device that produces turbulence in the water on the outside of the filter element. The turbulence in the water that is being drawn into the filter impedes or prevents the build-up of material deposits on the outside surface of the filter element.
FILTER SYSTEM FOR VISCOUS OR HIGHLY VISCOUS LIQUIDS, IN PARTICULAR PLASTIC MELTS AND METHOD FOR FILTERING VISCOUS OR HIGHLY VISCOUS LIQUIDS
The invention relates to a device and a method for filtering viscous or highly viscous liquids, in particular plastics melts, using an oscillating filter plate.
Device including a compact spray nozzle for cleaning a filter cloth in a disc filter
A device is provided for cleaning a filter cloth that forms a part of a filter element in a rotary disc filter. The device includes a flush tube and a spray nozzle operatively connected to the flush tube for receiving a cleaning fluid from the flush tube and directing the cleaning fluid onto the filter cloth.
Process for filtering 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid
A continuous process for filtering a suspension of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid crystals by means of a rotary pressure filter equipped with a drum, a surface of which is provided with cells covered with a filter medium, the drum rotating within a fixed concentric cylinder comprising at least three zones sealed from each other, respectively a filtration zone, a washing zone and a discharge zone, each zone opening onto the cells.
ROTARY DRUM FILTERING MACHINE FOR ALGAE FILTRATION
Rotary drum filtering machine and method for filtration of harvested algae. A filtering drum, axially rotatable horizontally, includes a filtration basket with thermally coupled mesh netting for retaining algae and passing through liquid when filtering drum is rotated. Feeding liquid containing algae is fed into filtering drum via inlet pipe. Filtered algae retained on internal surface of filtration basket is scraped and collected, and removed through outlet pipe. Filtration basket is axially embedded and releasably secured to a support frame. Mesh netting is thermally pressed into filtration basket such that filtration basket polymer material penetrates through mesh netting apertures, and polymeric rod thermally pressed onto mesh netting fuses to filtration basket polymer material with mesh netting contained therebetween. Mesh netting includes wired mesh with wire diameter less than 1,000 pm and micron sized apertures having aperture diameter of 1 pm-500 pm to enable filtration of micron sized algae.
Centrifugal filter unit for a washing machine having a removable portion shaped to scrape against a side wall during its removal
A centrifugal filter unit for an apparatus for use in the treatment of a substrate with a treatment formulation is provided. The centrifugal filter unit includes a) a housing having an outlet; b) an inlet; c) a filter rotatably mounted in the housing and having a side wall with perforations that allow liquid to pass through but prevent solid material from passing through; d) an aperture; and e) a drive for rotating the filter. A portion of the centrifugal filter unit in the filter chamber is removable and, when removed from the centrifugal filter unit following operation, takes with it at least a portion of the solid material prevented from passing through the perforations. The centrifugal filter unit is arranged such that the feed is drawn into the filter from the inlet through the aperture and the liquid is expelled through the perforations to the outlet and the solid material is retained in the filter. The removable portion is shaped to scrape against the side wall during removal.
Dishwasher filter assembly
A dishwasher includes a tub with an access opening to a treating chamber, a sump, at least one sprayer emitting liquid into the treating chamber, a pump, a conduit fluidly coupling the sump to the pump and the pump to the at least one sprayer, thereby defining a recirculation circuit through which the liquid sprayed into the treating chamber collects in the sump and is pumped back to the at least one sprayer. The dishwasher also includes a filter assembly in the sump for filtering the liquid in the recirculation circuit including a cleaning element and a dome shaped displacement body positioned adjacent the filter wall for raising a liquid level within the filter and configured to fill more than 50% of a percentage of a volume of the filter.

Method and system to recycle water for hydro-excavation
A method and system to recycle water for hydro-excavation includes a vacuum hose to remove a slurry of solids and liquid from hydro-excavation at a site. A debris tank is in fluid communication with the vacuum hose and is used to collect the slurry. The system also includes a filter drum, where a portion of the filter drum is configured to rotate through the slurry to filter the liquids from the solids, where dewatered solids are returned to the site for compaction. In addition, an outlet is in fluid communication with a central portion of the filter drum to return filtered water for use in hydro-excavation at the site.
