Disposable filter including an integrated sensor assembly

A disposable filter including an integrated sensor is provided for filtering a working fluid and monitoring the working fluid and/or the performance of the filter. The filter includes a housing with an inlet and an outlet with filter media disposed within the housing in a flow path defined between the inlet and the outlet. The integrated sensor is disposed within the housing, where the integrated sensor monitors a characteristic of the working fluid or other performance characteristic of the filter. The sensor assembly may include a communication module. The sensor assembly may include a RF tank circuit with a capacitor plate, which may be disposed adjacent a bypass structure that is disposed adjacent the outlet. Movement of a moveable part of the bypass structure in response to a pressure buildup will cause a shift in a resonant frequency of the tank circuit.

The curved portion and the other surface form a singular surface.

System and Method for Implementing a Preventative Maintenance Schedule

A computer implemented preventative maintenance schedule can includes a plurality of predetermined maintenance intervals. A replaceable maintenance item may be initially assigned to an initially assigned maintenance interval. A performance data associated with the replaceable maintenance item may be measured and an estimated end of useful life may be determined based on the performance data. The estimated end of useful life is compared to the assigned maintenance interval and, if warranted, the assigned maintenance schedule is modified.

DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE VALVE & FILTER SYSTEM INCORPORATING SAME

A filter system with flow regulation includes a filter interposed along the fluid passageway and a differential valve in fluid series therewith. The valve may use the upstream reference hydraulic pressure at the filter inlet and a downstream hydraulic pressure thereof to generate a valve position that regulates fluid flow along the fluid passageway. This can partially restrict flow and reduce pressure differential across the filter system and effectively closes off flow through the system when pressure differential is high. This may be used in aircraft or other fueling applications to limit flow and cause the operator to change the fuel filter once fuel flow slows to a trickle when the differential valve effectively closes due to higher differential pressure. The valve is also capable of a fully closed position at high pressure differential state.
