Example air cleaner assemblies are depicted and described in which a main filter cartridge sealing surface is recessed from an open end of a housing body. An access cover of the housing is configured with a portion extending inwardly to engage a main filter cartridge portion and bias it against the main filter cartridge sealing surface. In selected assemblies, the portion of the access cover extending inwardly toward the main filter cartridge, is a precleaner having flow separator tubes therein.

Air cleaner assemblies, components, features and methods of assembly and use are described. Example air cleaner assemblies are depicted and described in which a main filter cartridge sealing surface is recessed from an open end of a housing body. An access cover of the housing is configured with a portion extending inwardly to engage a main filter cartridge portion and bias it against the main filter cartridge sealing surface. In selected assemblies, the portion of the access cover extending inwardly toward the main filter cartridge, is a precleaner having flow separator tubes therein.

A separator includes a rotor, a plurality of flow channels each of which has an inlet and an outlet for gas and are in a vicinity of a rotation axis of the rotor, an air current producer configured to cause gas to flow through the plurality of flow channels, a driving device configured to rotate the rotor to rotate the plurality of flow channels around the rotation axis, and a discharger for allowing discharge of solid materials suspended in airstream produced in each of the plurality of flow channels, in a direction away from the rotation axis.

A rotary classifier including: a rotary shaft rotatably supported around a rotational axis extending in a vertical direction; a frame body supported by the rotary shaft and including an opening on the outer periphery of the frame body; a plurality of powder outlets provided along the rotation direction and opening on the upper section of the frame body; a plurality of blades extending in the vertical direction at the opening on the outer periphery of the frame body and provided along the rotation direction; and an annular member that serves as a constricting section provided so as to narrow the interval from the blades to the rotary shaft.
