AIR PURIFIER WITH LIGHT-DEFLECTING STRUCTURE
An air purifier includes an interior volume divided into upper and lower chambers, with a motorized fan assembly being positioned within the upper chamber. An ultraviolet (UV) light source is positioned within the lower chamber. A lower fan shroud includes concentric annular ribs that extend axially into the lower chamber and terminate in respective flared distal ends. The flared distal ends deflect light from the UV light source to reduce leakage of the light into the upper chamber. A diffuser can surrounds the UV light source, is affixed to the fan shroud, and has angled louvers deflecting the light to further reduce leakage thereof. Embodiments include a cylindrical media basket surrounding the diffuser can and having a media material disposed therein or thereon. The louvers are oriented to direct the light from the UV light source toward the media material.
CONFORMABLE PLEATED AIR FILTER WITH BRIDGING FILAMENTS
A conformable, unframed pleated air filter, comprising a plurality of bridging filaments on at least one face of the pleated air filter.
Head Covering Device Providing Filtered Air
A device for filtering air for a user comprising a frame formed in a generally oval-shaped band, the band encircling the user's head, with an upper portion above the user's head and a lower portion proximate to and spaced apart from the user's chin, an intake aperture formed in the frame, and an intake air filter covering the intake aperture. The device includes an air mover chamber attached with an air-tight seal to an inside surface of the frame and communicating on one end with the intake air filter and communicating on another end with a filtered air supply inlet inside the device and an air mover disposed within the air mover chamber and configured to draw air through the intake air filter and push air out the filtered air supply inlet. The device also includes an exhaust aperture formed in the frame and an exhaust air filter covering the exhaust aperture. The device further includes a transparent face shield attached with an air-tight seal to a front surface of the frame, the shield providing a space for air between an inside surface of the face shield and the user's face, and a fabric component comprising a first portion that is air permeable configured to cover the frame and filters and a second portion that is air impermeable extending from a back surface of the frame to cover a remaining portion of the user's head and encircle the user's neck.
Device Providing Filtered Air for a User
A device for filtering air for a user comprising a frame formed in a generally oval-shaped band, the band encircling the user’s head with an upper portion extending from the user’s ear to a point above and to the rear of the user’s head and a lower portion extending from the user’s ear to a point below and in front of the user’s mouth. The device includes an air inlet filter mounted on the frame and communicating on one side with ambient air outside the device and on the other side with an inlet duct and an air outlet filter mounted on the frame and communicating on one side with air inside the device and on the other side with ambient air outside the device. The device also includes a battery-powered air mover mounted on the frame and operable to move intake air through the air inlet filter through the inlet duct and into the inside of the device. A rechargeable battery is mounted on the frame to power the air mover. The device further includes a transparent face shield mounted on one side of the frame in such a way as to create an airtight seal between the visor and the one side of the frame, a fabric component made from an air impermeable fabric and mounted on an opposite side of the frame in such a way as to create an airtight seal between the fabric component and the opposite side of the frame, and to encircle the user’s neck, and a head harness configured to rest on the user’s head and support the frame with its components mounted thereon.
TUBULAR FILTER WITH NONWOVEN MEDIA AND METHOD
A filter cartridge is provided that includes a plurality of individual fibers, wherein the individual fibers have different cross sections and are arranged into a random lattice of fibers. The filter cartridge also includes at least one flat sheet media, wherein the plurality of individual fibers are thermally bound to the at least one flat sheet media, wherein the flat sheet media is spirally wound to create a cylindrical profile.
Filter for a vent opening of a container
A filter for a vent opening of a container comprises a filter element and a flange which surrounds the filter element. The filter element and the flange are integrated by means of an injection molding process, in which material is injected against a solid filter element in a mold, from which material the flange arises after curing. The filter element has an edge portion which extends in its circumferential direction. The edge portion has a front side, a back side and a side edge extending between the front side and the back side. The back side is covered the flange and the side edge in circumferential direction of the edge portion is alternatingly entirely and partly covered from the back side by the material of the flange. At the locations where the side edge is entirely covered the front side is also covered by the material of the flange.
Pathogen-filtering face mask with transparent mouth-covering portion and active air circulation
This invention is a pathogen-filtering face mask with a transparent portion over a wearer's mouth which enables other people to see the wearer's facial expressions and with active filtration of air entering and exiting the mask, with a relatively unobtrusive design. This mask can include a transparent portion which covers at least part of a person's mouth, a first-side air filter and air impellor, a second-side air filter and air impellor, and a central air filter between the first-side air filter and the second-side air filter.
AIR PURIFIER
Disclosed is an air purifier. The air purifier includes an outer housing assembly, an outer side filter element and an inner side filter element. The outer housing assembly defines a mounting cavity, and the outer housing assembly is provided with air inlet holes communicated with the mounting cavity. The outer side filter element is disposed in the mounting cavity. The inner side filter element includes a high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) layer and an activated carbon layer, and the inner side filter element is disposed on a radial inner side of the outer side filter element. The outer side filter element can be separately detached.
