SYSTEM FOR ANALYSIS OF BODY FLUIDS AND WOUND-ASSOCIATED BIOMOLECULES
A system for analyzing a wound fluid. The system includes a transparent layer, a membrane layer, and an indicator layer that contains a colorimetric or fluorescent indicator reagent for detecting pH, a nitrite, an enzyme, a reactive oxygen species, a reactive nitrogen species, a nucleic acid, or a combination thereof. The membrane layer is impermeable to blood clots and cellular debris and is permeable to wound fluid. Also provided are methods for analyzing a wound fluid and for detecting biological fluid on biomedical instruments and waste materials using the system.
EPITHELIALIZATION METHODS, DRESSINGS, AND SYSTEMS
Methods, dressings, and systems for promoting epithelialization of a wound or other tissue are presented. The methods, dressings, and systems help form simulated rete pegs. In one instance, an epithelialization dressing is disclosed that may include a dressing body having a plurality of projections. A plurality of apertures is formed on a portion of the dressing body. The dressing helps manage fluids on the wound and the projections form cavities into which epithelial tissue migrates to from epithelial columns that function like rete pegs. Other dressings, methods, and systems are disclosed.

MULTILAYER LINING FOR CLOTHING
The present disclosure relates to a breathable, reusable, leakproof, absorbent, antimicrobial, waterproof and vapor disperser multilayer lining for clothing. A purpose of this lining is to avoid the release of body fluids such as sweat, blood, vaginal fluids, menstrual fluid, urine, breast milk or postoperative fluids.
CANNABINOID AND MENTHOL TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present disclosure relates to compositions, methods of use and methods of manufacturing of a transdermal delivery systems, patches, vehicles and devices used to relieve pain (i.e., analgesics) and/or inflammation that contain a pharmaceutically effective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable and effective cannabinoid and menthol.
Antibacterial nanofiber
Bacteria-responsive core-shell nanofibers and a process for the preparation thereof are described. The nanofibers release of an antibacterial agent in response to the presence of bacteria. The core of the nanofiber comprises a biocompatible polymer together with an antibacterial agent such as a quaternary ammonium compound, for example benzyl dimethyl tetradecyl ammonium chloride (BTAC). Surrounding the core is shell comprised of a bacterially degradable polymer, which is susceptible to break-down by bacterial enzymes such as lipase, or to acidic pH conditions. The shell may comprise, for example, polycaprolactone (PCL) and poly(ethylene succinate) (PES). The nanofibers may be incorporated into wound dressings.
FLAT TEXTILE MATERIAL FOR PLACING ON A HUMAN OR ANIMAL BODY
The invention relates to a flat textile material (2) for placing on a human or animal body in order to capture and/or transmit electrical signals, comprising: a longitudinal direction (4); a traverse direction (6) running perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (4); an extension plane (8); a thickness direction (10) orthogonal to the extension plane (8); a first layer (34) facing the body; a second layer (36) facing away from the body; and at least one electrode (20), arranged on or in the first layer (34), for placing on the body, wherein: the electrode (20) comprises electrically conductive threads (50, 52); the second layer (36) comprises electrically non-conductive threads (56, 58) having a first water absorbency; threads (64) extending in the longitudinal direction (4) and having a second water absorbency are provided either in the first layer (34) or in the thickness direction (10) between the electrode (20) and the second layer (36); and the second water absorbency of these threads (64) is greater than the first water absorbency of the electrically non-conductive threads (56, 58) of the second layer (36).
PEPTIDES, AND USES THEREOF
A natural peptide comprising a cellular growth promoting fragment of a protein selected from SEQ ID NO's: 1 to 13, and a composition comprising a plurality of growth promoting peptides, is described. Also disclosed is the use of the peptides and compositions in prevention of ageing of human skin, treatment of diseases or conditions characterised by damaged epithelial cells or tissue such as colon cancer and peripheral inflammatory disorders, and wound treatment. Specific pea and rice protein derived peptides are described in SEQ ID NO's: 15 to 505, and 546 to 704.
Reduced-Pressure Dressings, Systems, And Methods For Use With Linear Wounds
Systems, methods, and dressings for treating a linear wound, such as an incision, on a patient are presented. The systems, dressings, and methods include a sealing ring that helps form a fluid seal around the linear wound. In one instance, a sealing material is extruded around the linear wound to help form a seal. In another instance, a sealing ring is coupled to a lower portion of a dressing bolster to form a seal. Other systems, methods, and apparatuses are disclosed.
Skin protection device
The present invention relates to a skin protection device comprising: a flexible cover having a first end and a second end. The cover comprises two sides extending between said first and second ends. The sides comprise seal sections capable of mutual engagement to form a seal. Each seal section includes a surface that is longitudinally serrated or undulating, wherein serration or undulation is provided on both sides of the section, a first female serrated or undulating side and a second male serrated or undulating side which when placed together form a mating pair and the seal. Each seal section is an extrusion as one part with a flat base and a plurality of serrations or undulations, folded and secured around the sides of the cover so that the flat base is in contact with both surfaces of the cover.
