An external-pressure type hollow fiber membrane module in which the plurality of raw water introduction holes 65 include first group raw water introduction holes 66 formed at positions including central parts of the plurality of hollow fiber membrane bundles 60, respectively, and second group raw water introduction holes 67 formed between the plurality of hollow fiber membrane bundles 60 and between the plurality of hollow fiber membrane bundles 60 and the inner wall surface of the tubular housing 10.
FILTRATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING BIOLOGICALLY-PRODUCED PRODUCTS
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to filtration systems and methods for production of biologically-produced products, which may include pharmaceutical and/or protein products. Certain biomanufacturing systems described herein comprise a bioreactor (e.g., a perfusion bioreactor, a chemostat) and a filter probe comprising a filter bundle comprising a plurality of hollow fibers (e.g., longitudinally aligned hollow fibers). According to some embodiments, a center-to-center distance between any two hollow fibers within the fiber bundle at one or more points along a length of the fiber bundle is relatively large (e.g., greater than or equal to an average outer diameter of the hollow fibers of the fiber bundle, greater than or equal to 1.1 times a minimum diameter of the two hollow fibers). In some embodiments, the hollow fibers within the fiber bundle are arranged in an array (e.g., a hexagonal, linear, annular, or square array).
FILTER UNIT
An object of the present invention is to provide a filter unit in which hollow fiber membranes can be effectively cleaned. A filter unit of the present invention includes a plurality of filtration modules and one or more air bubble generation modules that supply bubbles to the filtration modules from below. Each filtration modules includes a plurality of hollow fiber membranes extending in an up-down direction and arranged side by side in a curtain shape and which are arranged at intervals. The one or more air bubble generation modules supply coarse bubbles to the filtration modules.
MIXED MATRIX MEMBRANE FILTRATION DEVICE FOR AN APPLIANCE
A filtration device includes features for robust filtering capability. In particular, the filtration device includes a filter medium having mixed matrix membranes that include hollow fiber membranes embedded with adsorbents such that the filter medium provides both mechanical and adsorption capability.
Sterile Solutions Product Bag
A sterile solution product bag includes sterilization grade filter integrated directly into the product bag such that microbial and particulate matter filtration can be performed using the filter directly at the point of fill. The filter can include a hollow fiber filter membrane contained in a stem connected to a bladder of the product bag.
Method for the production of a hollow fiber module, and hollow fiber module
A hollow fiber module (1, 1) is made by inserting a bundle of hollow fibers (3) into a housing (2, 2) that has an end closed by a cap (17). A fluid first component (27) that can assume a solid state is introduced into a space adjacent the cap (17) and forms a spacer into which ends of the hollow fibers (6, 7) project. A fluid curable second component (4) is introduced before the first component (27) via a second inflow (28) and is cured to form a sealing layer (9) that embeds the bundle of hollow fibers (3) and seals it with respect to the adjacent housing wall (29, 29). The cap (17) is removed from the module housing (2, 2) along with the first component (27) and ends of the hollow fibers (6) embedded in the first component (27).
External pressure type hollow fiber membrane component, filtration membrane component, and membrane filtration module
The present disclosure relates to an external pressure type hollow fiber membrane component, a filtration membrane component, and a membrane filtration assembly, and provides an external pressure type hollow fiber membrane component, comprising: a housing having an inner cavity; and two end parts respectively provided at two ends of the inner cavity of the housing, the end parts being provided with a plurality of void passages running through the end parts in the axial direction of the housing and a plurality of water collection passages communicated with each other, and the void passages and the water collection passages are staggered at intervals. The present disclosure also provides a filtration membrane component and a membrane filtration assembly.
