Filter medium, method for manufacturing same, and filter module comprising same
A filter medium is provided. A filter medium according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a fiber web layer of a three-dimensional network structure including nanofiber; and a hydrophilic coating layer which covers at least a part of the outer surface of the nanofiber. According to this, a flow rate can be remarkably increased due to the improved hydrophilicity of the filter medium. Also, as the improved hydrophilicity is maintained for a long period of time, the lifespan can be remarkably prolonged. Furthermore, since the modification of a porous structure of the filter medium is minimized during the process of hydrophilization so that the initially designed physical properties of the filter medium can be exhibited in its entirety, the filter medium having chemical resistance, excellent water permeability and durability can be variously applied in the water treatment field.
Water Filtration Device for Aircraft Galley Plumbing System
A potable water filter for an aircraft galley plumbing system is disclosed. In embodiments, the filter includes a body attachable to a mount via a central threaded attachment stud. The stud is surrounded by a filter mount chamber and encloses a central flow channel allowing outflow from the filter body to an outlet port. Potable water enters the mount through an inlet port including a barrel valve that opens to allow water flow when the filter body is screwed onto the stud, and seals off the filter mount chamber when the filter body is absent. The outlet port includes a check valve to prevent backflow into the filter. The filter body houses a solid block of sintered carbon with a hollow core. Water enters the filter chamber and flows around and through the carbon filter before flowing down to the outlet port. The filter body self-vents at its top.
FILTER CARTRIDGE FOR LIQUID FILTERATION; ASSEMBLY; AND, METHODS
A liquid filter cartridge is provided. Preferred seal arrangements are provided, to provide for preferred axial load conditions, with respect to one or more of the end caps of the cartridge. Some cartridge configurations provided include no core structure or outer liner structure therein, to support axial load. Assemblies using the cartridge, and methods of assembly and use, are provided. The liquid filter cartridge can be a serviceable cartridge, or it can be retained permanently in a housing.

Adsorptive liquid filter
Provided is an adsorptive liquid filter including: a support tube having a hollow portion formed in a tubular shape and having a plurality of throughholes penetrating the hollow portion from an outer circumferential surface thereof; and an adsorptive membrane which is enclosed by the outer circumferential surface of the support tube and adsorbs foreign substances contained in contaminated liquid, the adsorption membrane including: a support member having a plurality of first pores; and a first adsorptive member which is stacked on the support member and has a plurality of second pores formed therein and is made by accumulating ion exchange nanofibers for adsorbing foreign substances.
FILTRATION MEMBRANE MODULE AND FILTRATION PROCESSING METHOD
The purpose of this invention is to provide a filtration membrane module with which is possible to improve the centrifugal separation effect of the primary-side flowpath during filtration, and the centrifugal separation effect of the area following the outer peripheral surface of the flowpath membrane element of the outer ring-shaped flowpath during backwash, and improve filtration efficiency and cleaning efficiency while curbing the accumulation of deposits on the membrane surface during filtration and during backwash. This filtration membrane module comprises: a membrane element equipped with a primary-side flowpath on the outside of a hollow cylindrical filtration surface; and a cylindrical housing positioned on the outside thereof. A flow adjuster is positioned inside the primary-side flowpath. A flow adjuster for backwash is positioned inside the secondary-side flowpath, which is an outer ring-shaped flowpath between the membrane element and the housing. The flow adjuster and the flow adjuster for backwash comprise spiral-shaped fins or the like in order to exhibit a centrifugal separation function in an area that follows the outer peripheral surface of the membrane element or the filtration surface.
VENTING SYSTEM FOR A MIXING APPARATUS
A filter unit for a mixing apparatus includes a hydrophilic filter and a hydrophobic vent filter. The hydrophilic filter is configured to receive a fluid including a liquid and gas. The hydrophilic filter is further configured to sterilize the liquid. The hydrophobic vent filter is configured to receive the gas from the hydrophilic filter. The hydrophobic vent filter further includes a vent and a membrane configured to separate an interior of the filter unit from an exterior of the filter unit, the gas being vented from the filter unit by flowing across the membrane and out of the vent. In some embodiments, the filter unit further includes a defoaming device configured to receive gas, foam comprised the liquid containing trapped gas, and some of the liquid from the hydrophilic filter and is further configured to release at least some of the gas from the foam.
FOLDED FILTER MEDIUM
A folded filter medium for a filter element is provided with a cellulose substrate impregnated with a phenolic resin and furthermore provided with an ePTFE layer arranged on the cellulose substrate. A filter element with such a filter medium is provided. A filter assembly with a filter element having such a filter medium is also provided. A method for producing such a filter medium includes the steps of impregnating the cellulose substrate with the phenolic resin; applying the ePTFE layer onto the cellulose substrate impregnated with the phenolic resin; folding the cellulose substrate with the ePTFE layer applied thereon; and curing the phenolic resin.
HIGH DENSITY FILTER ELEMENT
A media pack includes a filtration sheet and a support sheet engaged with the filtration sheet. The support sheet includes a first perforated sheet and a first media sheet, the first perforated sheet and the first media sheet being corrugated. The filtration sheet and the support sheet are wound together in a substantially spiral shape. The filtration sheet and the support sheet together form a plurality of channels that are alternatively sealed on opposing ends of the media pack.
