FILTER ARRANGEMENT WITH SUPPORT CORE AND METHODS
A filter arrangement includes first and second media packs with a support core in between. The support core includes a first ring at one end and, optionally, second ring at an opposite end. In some arrangements, at least a first member and second member extend from the first ring while being engagement-free to each other. In some arrangements, no more than a first member extends from the first ring, while being engagement-free relative to itself.
Modular filtration system and method
A system for further filtering a liquid extract material after an initial extraction process. In an embodiment, the system includes a semi-rigid filter cup that is substantially cylindrical, the filter cup having a top and a bottom, wherein the top is oriented to receive filter media prior to a filtration process, and material to be filtered during the filtration process. The filter cup includes an integrated deformable flange at the top of the filter cup, an integrated top o-ring that is integrated into the top of the integrated deformable flange and an integrated bottom o-ring that is integrated into the bottom of the integrated deformable flange.
PARTICLE FILTER SYSTEM
A particle filtration system that includes first, second and third filter segments that each include several first, second and third filters. Each first, second and third filter includes a fibrous layer sandwiched between a pair of surface or outer layers. The range of pore sizes of each first, second and third filter varies according to the density of the surface layers relative to the fibrous layers.
ROTARY DISK FILTER
A rotary disk filter has a central pipe and multiple filter disks arranged around and connected to the central pipe., wherein each filter disk includes multiple filter modules arranged adjacent to one another in the circumferential direction of the central pipe, each having a base frame and two filter elements, which include a filter surface connected to a filter frame. The base frame and the two filter elements delimit a cavity fluidically connected to the central pipe. The filter frames are detachably connected to both sides of the base frame, and removable from the base frame and replaceable with new filter elements. Each filter module is fixed at the central pipe with a threaded spindle independently of the remaining filter modules, wherein the threaded spindle extends through the filter module in the radial direction with respect to the central pipe.
Interlocked stable filter assembly
A filter assembly that includes a filter housing with a housing interlocking feature, a filter cover with a filter cover interlocking feature, and a filter element with a filter element interlocking feature is disclosed. The filter element is positionable within the filter housing, and the filter cover is attachable to a top portion of at least one of the filter element and the filter housing. The housing interlocking feature, the filter cover interlocking feature, and the filter element interlocking feature are interlockable with each other and extend in a nonplanar configuration along at least one side of the filter element when the filter housing, the filter cover, and the filter element are assembled together.
Method and apparatuses for screening
Methods and apparatuses for screening are provided. Embodiments include a screen basket apparatus for screening material, comprising a grid frame having a plurality of openings arranged in a lattice and a plurality of screening cartridge assemblies affixed to the grid frame to cover the respective openings of the grid frame. The screening cartridge assembly includes a case and a screen assembly fitted into the case, and may be affixed to a set of transversal member of the grid frame. The case may be an injection molded thermoplastic polyurethane or a thermoset polymer. The screening elements together form a generally continuous screening surface across an exterior portion of the grid frame.
Fuel filter cartridges with automated air-bleeding internal features
A filter assembly includes a housing having an outer cavity and an inner cavity, and a gasket disposed within the housing. The gasket includes an inner surface, an outer surface, and a vent passage. The gasket forms a first seal with a central tube at the inner surface. The central tube extends into the inner cavity and includes an opening. A filter element is positioned within the housing and includes a filter media configured to filter a fluid and an endcap including an annular tab portion that forms a second seal with the outer surface of the gasket when the filter element is positioned in an operating position within the housing. The vent passage circumvents the first seal and the second seal, allowing air to flow from the inner cavity of the housing to the opening in the central tube.
Cooled lubricant filter housing
A lubricant filter housing comprises a top plate defining a first opening. A base plate is positioned opposite the top plate. The lubricant filter housing further comprises at least one sidewall which cooperatively with the top plate and the base plate defines an internal volume. A plurality of plates are axially positioned in the internal volume between the top plate and the base plate. Each plate defines a plate opening axially aligned with the first opening which cooperatively with the first opening and a portion of the base plate, defines an internal cavity for housing a filter element. The plates define a first set of fluid channels structured to deliver a lubricant to the internal cavity, and a second set of fluid channels structured to provide a coolant around the first set of fluid channels.
FUEL FILTER
A fuel filter includes: a casing having a chamber for collecting water separated from fuel; a water level sensor that extends into the casing and is provided with an electrical water level contact extending into the collection chamber and an intermediate electrical contact arranged inside the casing and outside the collection chamber; and a water separator element having: a filtering element; a filtering element support provided with a through opening crossed by the water level sensor so that the electrical water level contact extends into the collection chamber; and a conductive element provided on the filtering element support and provided with: a water level electrode extending into the collection chamber; and a contact electrode electrically connected with the water level electrode, spaced apart from it and in contact with the intermediate electrical contact of the water level sensor.
Method and apparatus for screening
Methods and apparatuses for screening are provided. Embodiments include a screen basket apparatus for screening material, comprising a grid frame having a plurality of openings arranged in a lattice and a plurality of screening cartridge assemblies affixed to the grid frame to cover the respective openings of the grid frame. The screening cartridge assembly includes a case and a screen assembly fitted into the case, and may be affixed to a set of transversal member of the grid frame. The case may be formed of a single injection molded piece integrally formed by injection molding one of a polyurethane or a thermoset polymer. The screening elements together form a generally continuous screening surface across the exterior of the grid frame, which reduces blinding and is resistant to wear and tear.
