SPIN-ON FILTER WITH EXTERNAL THREADS AND METHODS
A filter arrangement for threadably securing to a filter head includes a housing having a surrounding wall defining an interior volume, an open mouth providing access to the interior volume and an end opposite of the open mouth. The surrounding wall has an exterior and an interior. A filter media construction is operably held within the interior volume. A sleeve, distinct from the housing, is secured to the exterior of the surrounding wall adjacent to the housing mouth and extending partially along the surrounding wall. The sleeve has an exterior and an interior. The exterior of the sleeve defines mounting threads constructed and arranged to removably mount with the filter head, when the filter arrangement is secured to the filter head. The interior of the sleeve is against the exterior of the surrounding wall. A first seal member is oriented against the sleeve to create a seal with a filter head, when the filter arrangement is secured to the filter head. A filter assembly includes a filter arrangement and a filter head. The filter arrangement is removably secured to the filter head by a threaded connection between the sleeve and the filter head. A system includes an engine utilizing a liquid and a filter assembly in fluid communication with the engine to filter the liquid. Methods of making filter arrangements include utilizing structures characterized above.
FILTER ELEMENT

Filtering panel and method of making the same
The present invention relates to a filtering panel (100) for a disk filter and a disk filter for water purification, comprising a metal filter cloth (16, 116) such as a stainless steel filter cloth, pre-tensioned in both warp and weft directions and fastened to a frame (10, 110) comprising a peripheral portion (11, 111), which is integral with an inner grillwork (12) and which divides the inner area of the peripheral portion (11, 111) into fields (15, 115). The frame (10, 110) comprises a plastic material reinforced with glass fibers or carbon fibres such as polypropylene loaded with fibreglass in an amount of at least 20 weight percent. Each field of the grillwork (12, 112) has an area not exceeding 10% of the inner area of the peripheral portion (11, 111). The pre-tensioning of the filter cloth (16, 116) in both directions is from at least 20% of the yield stress of the cloth (16, 116). Further the present invention relates to a disk filter comprising said filtering panels (100) and method of making said filtering panel (100).
FILTER ELEMENT WITH A SPACER
A filter element for filtering a fluid that comprises a pleated filter media and a support structure. The pleated filter media comprises pleats that define an upstream gap along an upstream surface of the pleated filter media and a downstream gap along a downstream surface of the pleated filter media. The support structure extends along the downstream surface of the pleated filter media and supports the pleats. The support structure is folded into two layers comprising a first layer and a second layer within the downstream gap. The first layer inner surface and the second layer inner surface are positioned adjacent to each other within the downstream gap. The support structure comprises at least one spacer that increases a distance between the first layer outer surface and the second layer outer surface such that the differential pressure drop through portion of the support structure that is within the downstream gap is decreased.
Glue beaded media for pool and spa filter cartridges
A water filter cartridge includes a top end cap, a bottom end cap, a central support core and a pleated filter medium surrounding the central support core. The pleated filter medium includes glue beads formed on one or both of the outer surface and the inner surface of the pleated filter medium. The glue beads on the outer surface may be offset from the glue beads on the inner surface. The beads form ribs between the folds of adjacent pleats, which help maintain a rigid spacing between adjacent pleats of the filter medium and minimize the filter medium collapsing under water pressure when in use in a pool or spa filtering apparatus.
Support and drainage material, filter, and method of use
Support and drainage materials, filter including the materials, and methods of use are disclosed.
Support and drainage material, filter, and method of use
Support and drainage materials, each comprising an element comprising a section having a first end and a second end, and a first major surface, and a plurality of parallel tapered flow channels extending from the first end to the second end, the tapered flow channels comprising tapered side walls arranged in parallel and projecting upwardly from, and perpendicular to, the first major surface, the tapered flow channels having a deeper end and a shallower end, and being deeper at the first end of the section than at the second end of the section, wherein the tapered flow channels are connected at the first end with a cross member, and connected at the second end with a cross member, filters including the materials, and methods of use are disclosed.
FILTER ELEMENT WITH FLUTED FILTER MEDIA
A filter element has a sheet of filter media having a first elongate edge and a second elongate edge. The sheet of filter media defines a plurality of pleats, a first set of pleat folds and a second set of pleat folds, where each of the plurality of pleats extend between the first set of pleat folds and the second set of pleat folds. The first set of pleat folds each extend from the first elongate edge to the second elongate edge, and the second set of pleat folds each extend from the first elongate edge to the second elongate edge. Each of the plurality of pleats defines a repeating wave pattern of flute peaks and flute valleys alternating from the first set of pleat folds to the second set of pleat folds. Each of the flute peaks and flute valleys extend from the first elongate edge to the second elongate edge.
WASH BUCKET DIRT FILTER
There is provided a filter for filtering particles in a container of fluid. The filter comprises a flow director comprising a hub, a plurality of radial blades extending from the hub and a plurality of vanes concentric about the hub. The blades and the vanes intersect to form a grid which collectively define a plurality of openings, each opening extending between a first face and a second face, where a cross-sectional area of each opening decreases from the first face to the second face. The filter further includes a skirt coupled to the perimeter of the flow director for maintaining the flow director in spaced relation from a bottom of the container. The decrease in cross-sectional area of the openings in the grid helps to prevent particles from travelling from a position below the flow director to a position above the flow director.

The current technology relates to various filter elements configurations where a substrate layer defines a surface having a treatment. The treatment increases a roll off angle of the surface for a 50 water droplet when the surface is immersed in toluene. The filter element can have a housing and the substrate disposed in the housing. In some embodiments the substrate layer defines a plurality of pleats extending between pleat folds that form flow faces of the media. In some embodiments the substrate is incorporated into single facer media of a filter element. In some embodiments the substrate layer is incorporated in a filter element having a flow-by configuration. In some embodiments the substrate layer is incorporated in a filter element having a cross-flow configuration. Some embodiments relate to a vent. Some embodiments relate to a barrier assembly and/or a fuel filter element. Various other filter elements are described.
