A purification device is also provided that includes a porous elastic container, purification media, and a flow controller. The porous elastic container has a pocket formed therein. The purification media is compressibly retained in the porous elastic container. The flow controller is elastically retained in the pocket of the porous elastic container.
Filter and removable cartridge including a bypass valve
The filter for the purification of a liquid of a combustion engine, particularly lubricating oil, includes a housing that has, in a bottom part, an inlet for raw liquid and an outlet for purified liquid, and an unscrewable lid. A cartridge, defined by a filtering insert and a preassembled bypass valve, is received in the housing. The insert has a flange for fixing the valve, covering an end of the filtering medium. The bypass valve can be separated from the cover such that the cartridge can be removed. The valve has a removable connection element that axially engages with a complementary securing component formed on the flange, in a locking configuration obtained by a pivoting action.
System comprising a connector for coupling to a fluid filter element, fluid filter element, and process for producing same
The present disclosure is directed to a new quick-connect, bayonet-type coupling arrangement for use with connecting a filter cartridge or element to a fluid-consuming machine. Advantageously, the features of the coupling arrangement can be provided while simultaneously maintaining backward compatibility with screw-thread based systems by modifying the screw thread on the end cap so as to include judicially arranged non-interfering segments. Accordingly, the disclosed fluid filter elements can not only be installed on systems according to the present disclosure but also on prior-art systems presenting a thread-based connector.
FILTER ELEMENT FOR USE IN A FILTER, AND FILTER COMPRISING A FILTER ELEMENT
A filter element, in particular a replaceable filter element, more particularly for separating particles and/or gases and/or liquids, in particular a filter cartridge for use in a filter, more particularly a compressed air filter, in particular as a component of a filter comprising multiple filtration stages, includes a substantially tubular body with an annular end face that faces a filter head, an underside, and a circumferential surface. Multiple, preferably four, retaining arms, running radially in relation to the central axis, are provided in the region of the end face and a toroidal filter-element sealing surface is provided on the end face, and the retaining arms protrude in relation to the filter-element sealing surface. The filter element is usable in a filter.
Filter element for a vehicle
The filter element includes a filter medium having an axis and forming a channel extending substantially axially, a first and a second end plate, each end plate covering one axial end of the filter medium and being sealingly mounted on the axial end whereby a liquid to be filtered can flow through the filter medium towards the channel and out of the filter element through an opening in fluid communication with the channel, or reversely. The filter element includes a protrusion fixedly secured to the first end plate and extending outwardly from the first end plate, the protrusion being substantially tubular and having a through hole in fluid communication with the first end plate opening, the protrusion forming a female coupling piece of a male-female connector, and a locking member capable of releasably locking a male coupling piece of the male-female connector in the female coupling piece.
Filter assembly
A filter assembly comprises a filter element, and a mount having at least one port. Each of the filter element and mount has inter-engaging connection formations, where the filter element and mount can be detachably connected to one another. The mount defines a flow path between the port and filter element when the element is connected to the mount and includes a link element which can slide relative to the mount between retracted and deployed positions. The link element has one of a lug and an inclined ramp surface, and the filter element has the other of the lug and ramp surface. The lug and ramp surface form a cam drive where the lug engages the ramp surface as the filter element and mount are assembled, and slide along the surface when the element is rotated to draw the link element out of the mount towards its deployed position.
SEAL ARRANGEMENT FOR A FILTER, IN PARTICULAR A COMPRESSED AIR FILTER, AND FILTER ELEMENT FOR A FILTER
A seal arrangement for a filter for fluid-tight sealing between a filter element and a filter head includes an annular elastic seal, a filter head sealing face and a filter element sealing face. The seal has a filter head side facing the filter head sealing face, a filter element side facing the filter element sealing face, an inner face running circumferentially on the inner side, and an outer face running circumferentially on the lateral side. The filter head side has a circumferential first recess between the inner and outer faces. The filter element side has a circumferential second recess between the inner and outer faces. The seal arrangement is configured in such a way that the seal, when subjected to a pressure from the inner face and/or from the outer face, is wedged in the direction of the acting force, between part faces of the sealing faces that narrow toward the middle.
Filtration device
A protruding portion is formed on an inner tube inserted into a hollow portion of a filter medium so as to protrude upward from a flange portion. The flange portion having a substantially circular plate shape is disposed on a lower side of a second plate. A recessed portion into which the protruding portion is inserted is formed on a surface on a lower side of the second plate provided so as to cover an opening at a lower end of the filter medium.

A filter device having a filter housing (14), in which a replaceable filter element (18) is accommodated, and having a filter head (26) for securing the filter housing (14) to a third component, such as a tank wall (10) of a storage tank, is characterized in that the filter housing (14) is mounted on the filter head (26) in an articulated manner by means of a bearing (28) providing more than one degree of freedom.

A spin-on filter cartridge includes a flange with peripheral holes for entrance, and a middle hole for exit. The cartridge includes a container with a cylindrical side wall having a base at a first end, and an opening at a second end. The flange reversibly occludes the opening. The container reversibly connects to the flange by a bayonet. The cartridge includes a filter unit including a cylindrical side wall having a base at a first end, and an opening at a second end. The bases oppose each other, the filter unit opening opposing the flange. The filter unit rotates integrally with the container. A spring between the bases pushes the filter unit towards the flange, the filter unit dividing the space into a first compartment, outside the filter unit, accessible by peripheral holes of the flange, and a second compartment, inside the filter unit, accessible by the middle hole.
