METHOD TO SELECT THE SMOKE TREATING UNIT OF A ROASTING APPARATUS
The invention concerns a method to select the smoke treating unit (3) of a system (1) of a roasting apparatus (2) and an associated smoke treating unit when said system is used in a room (10), said method comprising:—receiving room data input,—receiving roasting use data input in order to determine the quantity of each contaminant produced by the roasting apparatus during a period,—for each system of the roasting apparatus and of one smoke treating units, calculating the concentration of each contaminant present in the room during said period,—for each system and for each contaminant, comparing the calculated concentration of said contaminant present in the room during the period with the concentration of said contaminant authorised according to local health and safety regulations,—selecting the smoke treating unit of the system in the list of smoke treating units providing for each contaminant a calculated concentration inferior to the authorised concentration.
SEPARATOR ANALYSIS METHOD AND APPARATUS
An analysis method and apparatus are disclosed for analysing an absorption filtering medium that filters volatile organic substances in a process gas in a plant for dehumidifying polymer granules, with a fan that generates a flow of gas through the S filtering medium, an analyzer of the total concentration of the organic carbon, a sensor to detect the pressure downstream of the filtering medium, in which the saturation state and/or the absorbent capacity and/or the deterioration over time of the filtering medium is determined by a comparison of the measured concentrations of total organic carbon in the flow of gas upstream and downstream of the filtering medium.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PHOTOCATALYTIC DEVICE, PHOTOCATALYTIC DEVICE, PHOTOCATALYTIC COMPOSITION AND GAS DEPOLLUTING APPARATUS
The invention refers to a method for manufacturing a catalytic device, with the steps: a) providing a first catalyst having photocatalytic activity, a second catalyst, which is a different molecule than the first catalyst, and an adsorbent, each in a powdered state, b) mingling the first catalyst, the second catalyst and the adsorbent to form a catalytic composition and suspending them in a suspension liquid to form a slurry, and c) repeatedly coating the slurry onto a solid grid-like carrier having a plurality of through holes, configured to allow a gas to flow through the carrier, and evaporating the suspension liquid.
Activated carbon beads for smoking articles
Smoking article include a smokable material and an activated carbon particle downstream of the smokable material. The activated carbon particle is produced from a whole seed. The activated carbon particle has a length, width and height. At least two of the length width and height are independently in a range from about 1 mm to about 7.5 mm. The particles can be spheroids, in which case the length, width and height would be the same or similar.
SOLID FILTRATION MEDIUM INCORPORATING POLYACRYLAMIDE POWDER AND CARBON
Described herein is a an adsorbent and/or absorbent composition, a method of preparing the adsorbent and/or absorbent composition, and method of treating a fluid stream with the adsorbent and/or absorbent composition. Alumina and carbon are combined with polyacrylamide (PAM) powder and water in preferred proportions and impregnates such as Group 1A metal hydroxides. Group 7A salts of Group 1A metals optionally can be added.
ABSORPTION ARRANGEMENT WITH A CO2 ABSORBER AND A WATER TRAP AND PROCESS FOR FILTERING OUT CO2
An absorption arrangement (100) includes a CO2 absorber (4) and a water trap (2). Such an absorption arrangement (100) is used with a process for filtering carbon dioxide from a gas mixture by absorption. The gas mixture flows from a source through the absorption arrangement (100) to a sink in the following way: through a supply fluid guide unit (3), through a lower deflecting fluid guide unit (9), through the CO2 absorber (4), through an upper deflecting fluid guide unit (6), through a connecting fluid guide unit (33), through the water trap (2) and through a discharge fluid guide unit (34). The gas mixture flows vertically or obliquely upward through the CO2 absorber (4) and vertically or obliquely downward through the connecting fluid guide unit (33) to the water trap (2).
EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT SYSTEM
There is provided an exhaust system for the treatment of a humid exhaust gas comprising ammonia in an amount of up to 250 ppm, the system comprising: a dehumidifier system comprising a humid air inlet for providing a flow of humid exhaust gas; an exhaust gas inlet for providing a flow of dehumidified exhaust gas; an ammonia storage material arranged to receive the dehumidified exhaust gas from the exhaust gas inlet; an ammonia oxidation catalyst arranged downstream of a selected portion of the ammonia storage material; and a heating device for heating gas before it passes through the selected portion of the ammonia storage material to release ammonia stored therein for treatment on the ammonia oxidation catalyst; wherein the system is configured so that the selected portion of the ammonia storage material changes over time; and wherein the flow of dehumidified exhaust gas provided by the exhaust gas inlet is received from the dehumidifier system.
Photocatalyst filter and air conditioner including the same
A photocatalyst filter is provided. The photocatalyst filter includes: a base in which an internal space is formed. The internal space is permeable to fluid, and a plurality of photocatalyst beads are provided in the internal space, wherein a surface of the internal space is reflective.
Multi-stage PSA process to remove contaminant gases from raw methane streams
A multi-stage process to remove contaminant gases from raw methane streams is provided. The present technology is an innovative solution to recover and purify biogas by use of a process having at least two pressure swing adsorption stages. Taking advantage of the presence of carbon dioxide in the raw biogas streams, nitrogen and oxygen are bulky removed in the first stage, using selective adsorbents, and a nitrogen and oxygen-depleted intermediate stream is yielded to the second stage. The second stage employs an adsorbent or adsorbents to selectively remove carbon dioxide and trace amounts of remaining nitrogen and oxygen, thus producing a purer methane stream that meets pipeline and natural gas specifications.
Sorbent devices
Sorbent material sheets provide for enhanced performance in vapor adsorbing applications over conventional canisters and other emissions control equipment. The sorbent material sheets can be formed as part of a small, lightweight canister, or can be integrated into a fuel tank. The sorbent material sheets can also be used as part of an onboard refueling vapor recovery system to control volatile organic compound emissions from fuel tanks of gasoline vehicles, such as automobiles.
