An apparatus (10, 110, 210, 310) for the separation and recovery of CO.sub.2, from air, by a cyclic adsorption/desorption process using a loose particulate sorbent for gas adsorption. The apparatus has a plurality of adjacent, parallel, spaced-apart layers (24, 124, 224, 324), each having a stiff frame supporting a flexible, gas-permeable fabric enclosure for the sorbent. The gas inlet (14, 114, 214, 314) and outlet (18, 118, 216, 316) of the apparatus are on its axially opposite sides, and each layer (24, 124, 224, 324) extending axially within the apparatus. The recovered CO.sub.2 can be either supplied to an enclosed space, recycled to an enclosed space, from which the CO.sub.2 had been separated, or vented to the exterior of the latter enclosed space.
METHOD FOR INDICATING EXCHANGE OF A FUEL VAPOR ABSORBER AND A VEHICLE WITH AN INDICATOR THEREFORE
An indicator is provided in a vehicle for indicating necessity of change of a fuel vapor absorber in a venting line of a vehicle tank, especially a methanol tank for fuel cell vehicles.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ATMOSPHERIC VAPOR EXTRACTION
Systems and methods relating to a wearable atmospheric water generation device are described herein. Systems can comprise a sorbent material within a sorbent chamber configured to capture water vapor from ambient air and can be configured to produce a reduced pressure condition within the sorbent chamber, thereby desorbing water from the sorbent material. The systems can further comprise a condenser for producing liquid water from the desorbed water vapor.

A freshwater harvesting assembly includes a micro-scale component selected from a polymer, a foam, and a membrane; a water-sorption material selected from metal-organic framework (MOF), nanosilica gel, and superabsorbent polymer; wherein the water-sorption material is incorporated within the micro-scale component to thereby provide a water-sorption-material-containing micro-scale component; and a housing carrying the water-sorption-material-containing micro-scale component.
TUNABLE, RAPID UPTAKE, AMINOPOLYMER AEROGEL SORBENT FOR DIRECT AIR CAPTURE OF CO2
A primary amine polymer aerogel comprising greater than 5 wt. % of primary amine monomers covalently bound to cross-linking monomers, wherein the primary amine monomers are selected from vinyl amine. A secondary amine polymer aerogel comprising secondary amine monomers covalently bound to cross-linking monomers, the secondary amine monomers being a result of substituting a hydrogen atom from a primary amine polymer aerogel, the primary amine polymer aerogel comprising vinyl amine monomers covalently bound to the cross-linking monomers. A tertiary amine polymer aerogel comprising tertiary amine monomers covalently bound to cross-linking monomers, the tertiary amine monomers being a result of substituting hydrogen atoms from a primary amine polymer aerogel, the primary amine polymer aerogel comprising vinyl amine monomers covalently bound to the cross-linking monomers.
Fog removal apparatus and multipurpose fog removal system including the same
The fog removal apparatus comprises a plurality of fog barriers for removing moisture in the fog by absorbing moisture in the fog and by allowing air to pass therethrough when the fog passes through the fog barrier on the wind, and a fog barrier support for supporting the fog barrier. The fog barrier comprises a perforated plate arranged on an outer surface of the frame to support the fog barrier; a coated mesh having a porous waterproofing function; a super absorbent sheet for absorbing a large amount of moisture from the fog passing through the fog barrier; a heating means arranged adjacent to the super absorbent sheet to heat and dry the coated mesh and the super absorbent sheet.
Covalent-Organic Framework Materials and Methods of Making Thereof
The present invention provides a covalent-organic framework (COF) body, populations of such bodies, a method for manufacturing a covalent-organic framework (COF) body, and (a) a gas storage system or a gas separation system comprising a gas storage vessel and a population of such COF bodies. The COF body comprises a plurality of primary COF particles, some or all of the primary COF particles being agglomerated as COF agglomerates. The average diameter of the primary COF particles is between nm and 120 nm, and the average diameter of the agglomerates is larger than the average diameter of the primary COF particles and between 15 nm and 250 nm. By careful control over particle size distribution during the formation of the COF material, it is possible (b) to form COF materials into high bulk density shapes and forms which are industrially useful and practical without losing sorbent performance.
