A method and apparatus for removing water from compressed air is disclosed. The method includes the steps of passing a stream of compressed air through a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) dryer. The dryer includes at least one vessel containing a desiccant material bound into pieces, for example tubes, using a polymer binder. The PSA dryer also has a control system for controlling the flow of the compressed air and switching between drying and purging modes. In particular the vessel and desiccant material contained therein are sized to produce a dew point suppression of less than 50° C.

HALOGEN COMPOUND ABSORBENT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SYNGAS USING SAME
There is provided an absorbent for decreasing the leakage of halogen compound gases in subsequent processes, at high temperatures and in the presence of high concentrations of water vapor in the process of heating and gasifying a fuel, such as coal, to produce a synthesis gas.
The adsorbent includes a halogen compound absorbent containing 30 to 90% by mass of a basic calcium compound and 10 to 70% by mass of a metal compound other than basic calcium compounds and/or of a clay mineral. A method for producing synthesis gas using the absorbent is also disclosed.

Filter media and filters for the sequestration of carbon dioxide are disclosed. The carbon dioxide sequestering filter media incorporate silicate minerals, and the carbon dioxide sequestering filters incorporate carbon dioxide sequestering filter media. Filters using only carbon dioxide sequestering media and filters combining carbon dioxide sequestering media with traditional air filter media are disclosed. The carbon dioxide sequestering filters may be used instead of traditional air filters in residential, commercial and industrial applications.

A radial U-flow adsorption unit for air purification in a TSA process, having a gas outlet at one end and at least one gas inlet at the side, preferably at the same end of the unit as the gas outlet. AIR PURIFICATION DEVICE
An air purification device includes a device main body, a purification filter and a gas detection module. The device main body includes a gas-inlet opening and a gas-outlet opening. The purification filter is disposed in the device main body and includes at least one activated carbon layer and at least one zeolite layer stacked on each other, wherein the activated carbon layer filters and absorbs suspended particles contained in an air introduced through the gas-inlet opening, and the zeolite layer includes porous structures with hydrophobic property for controlling and absorbing volatile organic compounds contained in the air introduced through the gas-inlet opening, thereby a purified gas is generated from the air and is discharged through the gas-outlet opening. The gas detection module is disposed in the device main body for detecting and obtaining a gas quality data of the air passing through the gas-inlet opening and outputting the gas quality data.
