Ophthalmic devices having elastic electrodes are disclosed herein. An example ophthalmic device may be an intraocular lens that includes a support structure, two optical windows, two immiscible fluids, and an elastic electrode. The support structure may have an inner surface defining an aperture with first and second optical windows disposed on opposite sides of the support structure and spanning the aperture. The two immiscible liquids may be disposed in a cavity formed by the aperture and the first and second optical windows, and the elastic electrode may be disposed on the inner surface. The elastic electrode may be formed from an elastic metal alloy having a minimum yield strain of 0.25%.

Light control devices and methods for regional variation of visual information and sampling

Exemplary light control devices and methods provide a regional variation of visual information and sampling (“V-VIS”) of an ocular field of view that improves or stabilizes vision, ameliorates a visual symptom, reduces the rate of vision loss, or reduces the progression of an ophthalmic or neurologic condition, disease, injury or disorder. The V-VIS devices and methods generate a moving aperture effect anterior to a retina that samples and delivers to the retina environmental light from an ocular field of view at a sampling rate between 50 hertz and 50 kilohertz. Certain of these V-VIS devices and methods may be combined with augmented or virtual reality, vision measurement, vision monitoring, or other therapies including, but not limited to, pharmacological, gene, retinal replacement and stem cell therapies.

Comprehensive intraocular vision advancement

An anatomy-specific implant for neuroplastic surgery. The implant includes a soft tissue implant component designed within and adapted to replace or restore missing soft tissue in a skull, joint or spine of the patient, wherein the soft tissue implant component is adapted to be coupled by an interdigitated connection to a rigid component. The rigid component can be a skull implant adapted to replace missing cranial or vertebral bone, or healthy cranial or vertebral bone, either of which can have downward extending catheters for medicinal brain or spinal cord infusion to help bypass the blood-brain barrier via multiphase flow. The soft tissue implant may include a functional component having neurotechnologies such as MRI-lucent pumps, Bluetooth connection systems, refillable diaphragms, remote imaging devices, wireless charging capabilities, and/or informative biosensors. The soft tissue implant component may be interchangeable with another soft tissue implant component in plug-and-play fashion.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPLANTING AND SECURING A BIOPROSTHETIC DEVICE TO WET TISSUE

Systems, devices, kits, and methods are described for securing a bioprosthetic heart valve within an anatomical feature of a patient. Kits can comprise a bioprosthetic heart valve, a curable composition, and an applicator configured to deliver the curable composition to a target area. The bioprosthetic heart valve can comprise a support structure and one or more valve leaflets coupled thereto. The support structure can comprise a sewing portion peripheral of the bioprosthetic heart valve. The support structure and the valve leaflets can define a central flow orifice. The curable composition can comprise a pre-polymer composition and an initiator. Methods can comprise positioning the bioprosthetic heart valve within the anatomical feature of a patient, applying the curable composition to one or both of the bioprosthetic heart valve and the anatomical feature, and curing the curable composition for a cure time.
