Sorbent devices
Sorbent material sheets provide for enhanced performance in vapor adsorbing applications over conventional canisters and other emissions control equipment. The sorbent material sheets can be formed as part of a small, lightweight canister, or can be integrated into a fuel tank. The sorbent material sheets can also be used as part of an onboard refueling vapor recovery system to control volatile organic compound emissions from fuel tanks of gasoline vehicles, such as automobiles.

Disclosed is a method for purifying a main gas, in particular helium, from a source gas stream comprising the main gas, a main impurity, in particular nitrogen, and optionally another, secondary impurity, in particular oxygen, the method comprising a step of partial condensation of the gas stream in order to extract therefrom impurities in liquid form, in particular the main impurity, and to produce a gas stream enriched with main gas, characterized in that the method comprises, before the partial condensation step, a step of injecting into the gas stream a compound in which the main impurity of the gas to be treated is soluble and having a saturation vapor pressure lower than the saturation vapor pressure of the main impurity.
Canister
A canister that adsorbs and desorbs an evaporated fuel generated in a fuel tank of a vehicle includes an outer case, an inner case, a connecting port, and a sealing member. The inner case has a cylindrical shape. The inner case is fitted into the outer case. The inner case is filled therein with an adsorbent in a granular form. The inner case includes a first end and a second end. The connecting port connects an inside and an outside of the outer case to each other. The sealing member is provided to the second end of the inner case located opposite to the first end leading to the connecting port. The sealing member seals a gap between the outer case and a joining portion of the inner case. The joining portion joins the inner case to the outer case.

The systems and methods particularly can include contacting the process stream with an advanced oxidant and with water.
Apparatus and Method for Mixing Transmission and Separation of Hydrogen Gas and Natural Gas Recovered Based on Pressure Energy
Disclosed is an apparatus and method for mixing transmission and separation of hydrogen gas and natural gas recovered based on pressure energy. The method includes: (1) hydrogen compressed natural gas is introduced into the pressure energy recovery system; (2) the low-pressure hydrogen compressed natural gas is introduced into the separation system; (3) the low-hydrogen natural gas and the, high concentration hydrogen gas are introduced into a first natural gas buffer tank and a first hydrogen gas buffer tank respectively; (4) the low-hydrogen natural gas and the high concentration hydrogen gas are introduced into the pressure boosting system; (5) the low-hydrogen natural gas and the high concentration hydrogen gas are respectively introduced into a natural gas user end. The method of the present invention is low in energy consumption, so as to realize pressure energy recovery, and energy consumption of hydrogen gas separation is greatly reduced.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A FUEL VAPOR CANISTER HEATING ELEMENT
Methods and systems are provided for diagnosing a heating element coupled to a canister of an evaporative emissions control (EVAP) system. In one example, a method (or system) may include evacuating the canister at different temperature conditions, and diagnosing the heating element based on the different times taken to evacuate the canister at the different temperature conditions.
Catalyst composition comprising magnetic material adapted for inductive heating
The invention provides a catalyst composition, including a mixture of catalytically active particles and a magnetic material, such as superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles, capable of inductive heating in response to an applied alternating electromagnetic field. The catalytically active particles will typically include a base metal, platinum group metal, oxide of base metal or platinum group metal, or combination thereof, and will be adapted for use in various catalytic systems, such as diesel oxidation catalysts, catalyzed soot filters, lean NOx traps, selective catalytic reduction catalysts, ammonia oxidation catalysts, or three-way catalysts. The invention also includes a system and method for heating a catalyst material, which includes a catalyst article that includes the catalyst composition and a conductor for receiving current and generating an alternating electromagnetic field in response thereto, the conductor positioned such that the generated alternating electromagnetic field is applied to at least a portion of the magnetic material.

Dust filter
A dust filter is configured to filter air drawn into a vehicle canister. The dust filter includes a first portion including a first engaging portion and a second portion including a second engaging portion. The second portion is attached to the first portion by engagement of the second engaging portion with the first engaging portion. The first portion includes a filtration member and a case. The case includes an inner chamber within which the filtration member is disposed. The case includes a drainage port configured to drain liquid that has infiltrated the inner chamber. The second portion is attached to the first portion to form a cover that covers the drainage port together with the first portion. The cover has an outlet that opens to the outside at a position lower than the drainage port.
Method and system for operating a refueling valve
Methods and systems are presented for operating a refueling valve of an evaporative emissions system. The methods and systems may attempt to reactivate a refueling valve that has stuck due to the refueling valve being exposed to liquid fuel. In one example, a voltage that is applied to the refueling valve may be increased to reactivate the refueling valve.
