Honeycomb matrix comprising macroporous desiccant, process and use thereof
Macroporous desiccant based honeycomb matrix containing the macroporous desiccant synthesized “in-situ”, the desiccant having a differential water adsorption. Process for the “in-situ” preparation of the macroporous desiccant based honeycomb matrix including the steps of soaking honeycomb substrate impregnated with water glass, in aqueous metal salt(s) solution or acid solution, or combination thereof, until such time that the hydrogel honeycomb matrix is obtained and thermally activating the hydrogel honeycomb matrix to produce macroporous desiccant based honeycomb matrix.
TITANIUM-ORGANIC FRAMEWORK PHOTOCATALYST FOR ADSORPTION AND DECOMPOSITION OF VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUND, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF AND METHOD FOR REMOVING VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUND USING TITANIUM-ORGANIC FRAMEWORK
The present disclosure relates to a titanium-organic framework photocatalyst for adsorption and decomposition of a volatile organic compound, a method for preparing the same and a method for removing a volatile organic compound using a titanium-organic framework photocatalyst. More specifically, a hierarchical pore structure can be formed and a pore size can be controlled by preparing a titanium-organic framework photocatalyst by coordination bonding a titanium precursor to a mixture of two carboxylic acid compounds having different electronegativity, as organic linkers, at an optimized ratio. The titanium-organic framework photocatalyst exhibits improved efficiency of adsorbing and decomposing a volatile organic compound (VOC) and can improve the photocatalytic degradation rate of the volatile organic compound (VOC).
Bicycle mounted air filter
An air filter assembly for a bicycle is disclosed. The air filter assembly includes a body having a bracket and a frame. The bracket is configured to mount to a bicycle frame. The frame defines a tapered opening having a windward side and a leeward side. The tapered opening is larger on the windward side than on the leeward side. A removable air filter cartridge is mounted within the opening of the frame such that a force acting on the air filter cartridge on the windward side tends to wedge the air filter cartridge in the opening. A foam member is attached to an outer periphery of the air filter cartridge and is disposed between the air filter cartridge and the frame. The foam member is compressible so as to hold the air filter cartridge in the opening of the frame. The foam member compresses to a greater degree on the leeward side of the opening than on the windward side of the opening. The air filter assembly is mountable to a handle bar of a bicycle.
Method and Homogeneous Filament Material 3D Printed Radial Flow Fluid Treatment System
A method of forming and fluid treatment system includes a vessel that is defined by a body having an inlet constructed to be connected to a fluid source and an outlet that is constructed to be connected to a discharge passage defined by a direction of a fluid flow directed through the body. The body is preferably three-dimensionally (3D) printed as a unitary body and from a filament material to define the entirety of the body including the inlet and the outlet. The vessel is preferably formed of an antimicrobial or other materials configured to manipulate the composition of the fluid flow directed therethrough and via direct contact of the fluid flow with the interior spaces of the body of the vessel.
Catalyst structure for ozone decomposition
Provided are a catalyst structure for ozone decomposition including a support containing a porous inorganic material, and an α-MnO.sub.2 catalyst located on at least a portion of inner pores and a surface of the support, an air-cleaning method using the same, and an air-cleaning device and an air-cleaning system each including the catalyst structure for ozone decomposition.
Peroxycarboxylic acid scrubber assembly
A scrubbing assembly for treating malodorous air by chemical scrubbing one or more chemical components from an influent airflow, particularly one or more chemical components that have become airborne from chemical intervention solutions used during food processing, such as vapors from peroxycarboxylic acid solutions used during food processing. The peroxycarboxylic acid vapors are removed from air in a continuous manner within the scrubber assembly utilizing a neutralizing chemical solution to provide a treated effluent airflow that can be returned back to the point of use area from which the malodorous air was removed for treatment.
SUPPORT VESSEL FOR ASSISTING IN LOADING FLUID HYDROCARBON CARGO ONTO A CARRIER VESSEL, AND RELATED SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method, and a support vessel for use in the system. The system can in various embodiments include: a carrier vessel for carrying fluid hydrocarbon cargo across sea, the hydrocarbon cargo to be loaded into at least one cargo tank of the vessel; a support vessel; VOC recovery means on the support vessel for recovering volatile organic compounds, VOCs, the VOCs being produced from the cargo tank in loading the cargo tank, in use; and at least one hose extending between the carrier vessel and the support vessel for communicating gas having volatile organic compounds, VOCs, through the hose from the cargo tank of the carrier vessel to the VOC recovery means on the support vessel.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOVING ODOR FROM A FLUID STREAM
A method for removing at least one odorous contaminant from a fluid stream by filtering the fluid stream with a filtration medium. The filtration medium includes a chemically modified activated carbon. The method is useful for removing one or more volatile organic compounds and/or one or more volatile thiol compounds, particularly terpenes (e.g., alpha-pinene and myrcene), nonanol, decanol, o-cymene, and benzaldehyde from the fluid stream. In some embodiments, the fluid stream is a cannabis grow house exhaust stream.

A filter unit for an air cleaning device includes an odor filter configured for odor neutralization and embodied as a device for plasma generation. The odor filter includes an air-permeable high-voltage electrode and an air-permeable counter electrode arranged behind one another in a direction of flow of air. Each of the air-permeable high-voltage electrode and the air-permeable counter electrode is formed by a panel element.
ELECTROSTATIC FILTER UNIT FOR AN AIR CLEANING DEVICE AND AIR CLEANING DEVICE
An electrostatic filter unit for an air cleaning device includes an ionization unit configured to ionize particles in air and to deplete odor, and a separation unit arranged downstream of the ionization unit in a direction of flow of air and configured to separate particles.
