Contamination limiter for reducing outgassed volatile condensable materials from external sensitive optical and thermal surfaces of a spacecraft
One embodiment includes a contamination limiter for a spacecraft. The contamination limiter includes a body having an interior. An inlet is fluidly coupled to the interior of the body. A collector plate is positioned within the interior of the body. A UV light source is directed at a surface of the collector plate. An exterior vent is fluidly coupled to the interior of the body. A volatile condensable material from the spacecraft is photofixed by the UV light exposure to the collector plate prior to venting through an exterior vent to an exterior of the spacecraft.
USE OF COATINGS MADE FROM AQUEOUS POLYMER DISPERSIONS HAVING A CORE/SHELL STRUCTURE FOR CAPTURING VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS SUCH AS ALDEHYDES
The invention concerns a method comprising the steps of irreversibly capturing and trapping at least one organic volatile compound bearing a function among aldehyde, ketone, or amine, using an aqueous polymer dispersion of core/shell structure particles having an MFFT of 0 to 50° C., with the polymer phase P1 being a hard core with a Tg1 of 60 to 120° C. and the polymer phase P2 being a soft shell with a Tg2 of −20 to 40° C. and with P1, comprising a monomer M1 with two polymerisable ethylenic unsaturations and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer M2 bearing a carboxylic acid/anhydride function and P2, representing 40% to 85% by weight of P1+P2 and comprising in its structure units from at least one monomer M3 bearing a polymerisable ethylenic unsaturation and, in addition, a ureido functional group or a functional group having a mobile hydrogen alpha to a ketonic carbonyl.
COMPACT AIR PURIFICATION APPARATUS
A compact air purification apparatus which can improve an acetaldehyde removal performance and of which the size can be reduced is provided. A compact air purification apparatus using a photocatalyst includes a housing, a photocatalyst member that is disposed in the housing and contains titanium oxides, a light emitting unit that is disposed in the housing to irradiate the photocatalyst member with ultraviolet light and includes a plurality of LED elements, and a fan that circulates air inside the housing.
HYDROCARBON ADSORBENT WITH METAL-IMPREGNATED ZEOLITE PARTICLE HAVING REGULAR MESOPORE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a hydrocarbon adsorbent with metal-impregnated zeolite particles having regular mesopores and a manufacturing method therefor. The hydrocarbon adsorbent includes a metal cation and a metal oxide that are impregnated in zeolite particles, in particular, the zeolite particles include regularly formed mesopores having a size of 2 to 10. By adjusting a Si/Al ratio and mesoporosity of the mesopores, a hydrocarbon adsorbent may have increased adsorption capacity for hydrocarbons in a cold-start section and can rapidly oxidize the hydrocarbon upon desorption thereof, thereby reducing the discharge of exhaust gas produced in automobiles and industries.
