A first transport apparatus includes a deck for supporting a patient thereon and a lift mechanism supporting the deck. The deck is removable from the lift mechanism for use as a second transport apparatus or part of a second transport apparatus. The first transport apparatus further includes an electrically powered device at the first transport apparatus, and a user input device for wireless control of the electrically powered device, which is operable at or near the first transport apparatus and the second transport apparatus.

The platform lateral actuator is configured to selectively move the platform plate laterally relative to the device body, such that the platform plate can be moved between a plurality of positions including (i) a stowed position in which the platform plate is retracted relative to the device body, (ii) a first extended position in which a first transverse edge of the platform plate is a leading edge that extends outward from a first side of the device body, and (iii) a second extended position in which a second transverse edge of the platform plate is a leading edge that extends outward from a second side of the device body. The transfer device also a treatment system configured to apply a cleaning and/or disinfecting treatment.

Disclosed is a transfer device having a device body, a transfer platform including a platform plate, and a platform lateral actuator. The platform lateral actuator is configured to selectively move the platform plate laterally relative to the device body, such that the platform plate can be moved between a plurality of positions including (i) a stowed position in which the platform plate is retracted relative to the device body, (ii) a first extended position in which a first transverse edge of the platform plate is a leading edge that extends outward from a first side of the device body, and (iii) a second extended position in which a second transverse edge of the platform plate is a leading edge that extends outward from a second side of the device body. In embodiments, a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) system includes a retention structure, a compression mechanism coupled to the retention structure and a backboard. The retention structure and the backboard can be assembled together so as to form a closed loop that surrounds the patient's torso, and a piston of the compression mechanism is movable towards and away from a chest of a patient. In addition, the CPR system has a stabilizing member, and a coupler configured to couple the stabilizing member to the backboard. The stabilizing member can prevent the retention structure from tilting while the CPR system delivers chest compressions to the patient.

In embodiments, a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) system includes a retention structure, a compression mechanism coupled to the retention structure and a backboard. The retention structure and the backboard can be assembled together so as to form a closed loop that surrounds the patient's torso, and a piston of the compression mechanism is movable towards and away from a chest of a patient. The side ramp is pivotable relative to the litter between first and second positions. In the first position, the side ramp is planar with or angled upwardly to extend above the patient support deck. In the second position, the side ramp is angled downwardly to extend below the patient support deck for contacting the floor surface with the engagement end when in the lowered base position.
