An illustrated view of an exemplary air filter for reducing emissions is presented. The air filter is useful for removing toxic gases from the air surrounding a combustion engine of a vehicle is presented. The air filter is useful for scrubbing the ambient air for removal of toxic contaminants such as carbon dioxide and thus reducing harmful emissions of a vehicle. The air filter though described for a vehicle can also be used in industry settings as well as at home. The air filter is recyclable. Although a vehicle is shown, it is an example only. Other applications are possible and have been contemplated for the air filter 100 including, but not limited to, commercial applications, home applications, industrial applications, etc.

An indicator is provided in a vehicle for indicating necessity of change of a fuel vapor absorber in a venting line of a vehicle tank, especially a methanol tank for fuel cell vehicles.

MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR AND HYDROCARBON TRAP COMBINATION
20230110960 · 2023-04-13 · ·

A combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap is provided for absorbing evaporative hydrocarbon emissions from an air intake duct of an internal combustion engine. The combined mass airflow sensor and hydrocarbon trap comprises a duct that supports a hydrocarbon absorbing sheet in an unfolded configuration within a housing. The duct communicates an airstream from an air filter to the air intake duct during operation of the internal combustion engine. An opening in the housing receives a mass airflow sensor into the duct, such that the mass airflow sensor is disposed within the airstream. Guide vanes extending across the duct reduce air turbulence within the airstream passing by the mass airflow sensor. Ports disposed along the duct allow the evaporative hydrocarbon emissions to be drawn into the interior and arrested by the hydrocarbon absorbing sheet when the internal combustion engine is not operating.

FLUID CHAMBER SYSTEM

The fluid chamber system can include: a chamber housing, a capture medium, an internal support structure, and/or any other suitable components. The system can optionally include a thermal management system. However, the system can additionally or alternatively include any other suitable set of components. The system preferably functions to direct an input fluid (e.g., vehicle exhaust) through the capture medium and/or harvest one or more target species (e.g., carbon dioxide) from the input fluid (e.g., vehicle exhaust).

Dehumidifying element, dehumidifying device including dehumidifying element, and method of manufacturing dehumidifying element

A dehumidifying element includes a plurality of sheets that have moisture adsorption and desorption properties and that are stacked on top of each another. At least some of the sheets each have an irregular shape. The sheets each contain a hygroscopic agent having properties of a re-moistening-type glue that exhibits adherence when adsorbing moisture and that solidifies when being dried. The sheets are bonded to each other by the hygroscopic agent.

Vehicle

A vehicle includes an engine, at least three wheels including a front wheel and a rear wheel, a fuel tank above the engine, a seat rearward of the fuel tank, a canister positioned lower than the fuel tank, and a vent hose to supply air therethrough into the canister to desorb the adsorbed fuel evaporative emission from the canister. An upstream end of the drain hose is connected to the vent hose. A downstream end of the drain hose is positioned lower than the canister.

The present invention relates to an electrical dust collection device comprising: a charging part for applying charges to dust particles introduced from the outside; a dust collection part for collecting, by electric attraction, the dust particles charged by the charging part, wherein the charging part uses a first charging plate and a second charging plate, in parallel, in the movement direction of dust, thereby increasing an assembly property and further increasing dust collecting efficiency through stable charging, and the dust collection part comprises a first connection portion that continues at one side of a plurality of first dust collection plates, thereby increasing productivity and dust collecting performance.

Controller apparatus and method for a compressed air system

A compressed air supply apparatus for heavy vehicles includes a service reservoir, an air dryer in communication with the service reservoir, a purge reservoir in communication with the air dryer, a compressor for delivering compressed air through the air dryer preferentially to the purge reservoir and then to the service reservoir and a controller. The controller interrupts the charge cycle of the compressor in response to a moisture accumulation value being equal to or exceeding a wetness threshold value and the pressure in the service reservoir being within a predetermined pressure range. The controller then initiates a modified purge cycle of the air dryer, which includes iteratively regenerating the air dryer with air from the purge reservoir until at least one of the moisture accumulation value is less than the wetness threshold value and the pressure in the service reservoir is outside the predetermined pressure range.
