Provided are an air purification module and an air purification system including the same. The air purification module is configured to purify influent unpurified air and discharge purified air and includes: a catalyst filter including a photocatalyst and an oxidation catalyst; and a light-emitting heat source disposed adjacent to the catalyst filter, wherein the light-emitting heat source irradiates, to the catalyst filter, light for activating the photocatalyst, and provides heat to activate the oxidation catalyst, and a temperature of the light-emitting heat source is higher than a temperature of the unpurified air.
LUMINAIRE WITH BIOFILTER
Disclosed are examples of luminaires that provide light for general illumination and treat air via a biofilter. In the examples, a luminaire may include a light source configured to illuminate a space, a biofilter configured to treat air, and an air circulation system. The light source may be configured to illuminate a space in which the luminaire is located with general illumination light. The biofilter may include an air permeable membrane, a substrate, and a microorganism that treats air that comes in contact with the microorganism. The air circulation system is configured to draw air into contact with the biofilter and output air treated by contact with the biofilter into at least a portion of the space illuminated by the light source.

METHODS FOR PRODUCING PHOTOCATALYST
Disclosed herein are methods of producing photocatalysts for degrading NOx. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the method comprises mixing a transitional metal or its oxide with a bone powder or a shell powder, followed by heating the mixture for at least 12 hours to dehydrate the mixture, and calcinating the dehydrated product for 1-5 hours. In certain embodiments, the bone powder is mixed with titanium dioxide at the weight ratio of 1:1. In certain embodiments, the shell powder is mixed with titanium dioxide at the weight ratio of 0.5:1 to 2:1 (w/w).

The method includes exposing the target gas to a halogen gas and a light from a suitable light source having a wavelength sufficient to activate halogen gas to halogen radicals, wherein the halogen radicals react with the VOC in the target gas to provide the target gas with a removed concentration of VOC as well as a device including a reaction chamber for reacting the halogen radicals with the VOC in the target gas.

The preparation method includes the following steps: with two different carbon nitride precursors namely urea and thiourea as raw materials, weighing certain amounts of the urea and the thiourea, adding the urea and the thiourea into a crucible, adding a certain amount of ultrapure water, placing the crucible in a muffle furnace, and carrying out calcination molding. The honeycomb-like homo-type heterojunction carbon nitride prepared by the one-step method has good photocatalytic effect to catalytic degradation of NO; meanwhile, the honeycomb-like homo-type heterojunction carbon nitride composite material has the advantages of rich and easily-available production raw materials, good stability, reusability, etc., and has application prospects in the field of treatment of NO in the air.
ARTIFICIAL LEAF
An apparatus for removing carbon dioxide from a gas mixture includes at least one artificial leaf. The artificial leaf includes a light transmissive, biodegradable and carbon dioxide and oxygen permeable hydrogel having embedded therein a photosynthetic cyanobacteria capable of the fixing carbon dioxide and a nutrition source for the cyanobacteria. A method of removing carbon dioxide from a gas and a method a making an apparatus for removing carbon dioxide from a gas are also disclosed.
