Filter device, in particular gas filter
A filter device has an annular filter element with a filter medium body for radial fluid flow relative to a longitudinal axis. A sealing element arranged at an end face of the filter medium body seals relative to a housing component of a filter housing receiving the filter element. The sealing element has support walls delimiting a slit between them. The housing component has a receiving groove engaging across the sealing element and provided with opposed side walls. The housing component has a support rib projecting into slit. The support walls each have a first support surface at a side facing the slit and a second support surface at a side facing away from the slit. The side walls of the receiving groove are radially supported at the second support surfaces of the support walls. The support rib is supported radially at the first support surfaces of the support walls.
Sealing element, annular filter element, oil separator, and method for opening filter housing of oil separator
A sealing element (60) for an annular filter element (100) of an oil separator (200) of a crankcase ventilation system, wherein the annular filter element (100) is configured to separate oil from fluid. The sealing element (60) fulfills more than one sealing function and yet is easy to use and replace. The sealing element (60) having at least one radially sealing region (64) that is configured to act in the direction of the radius (120) of the annular filter element (100), and at least one axially sealing region (66) that is configured to act in the direction of the longitudinal axis (110) of the annular filter element (100).
Fastening system for a vehicle component housing
A vehicle component housing, such as for an air filtration assembly, includes a first shell having a mount defining a retention feature, and a second shell having a flange. A fastener has a hooked region rotatably supported by the mount and configured to selectively mate with the retention feature to retain the fastener in a disengaged position. The fastener has a locking member configured to mate with the flange to retain the fastener in an engaged position. The fastener may be a spring clip fastener.
Filter Element and Method for Manufacturing a Filter Element
A filter element (100) that is to be mounted in a housing (102) has at least one substantially hollow cylindrical filter bellows (10, 20) designed to separate liquid from aerosol, and two cover elements (30, 40) designed to cover axial end regions (12, 14, 22, 24) of the filter bellows (10, 20). The axial end portions (12, 14, 22, 24) of the at least one filter bellows (10, 20) are pressed against the cover element (30, 40) by an axial compressing force. The at least one filter bellows (10, 20) is secured in the axial direction, and one respective sealing zone (16, 18, 26, 28) is formed between each filter (10, 20) and each cover element (30, 40).
Air filter arrangement; assembly; and, methods
An air cleaner arrangement is shown. The air cleaner arrangement includes a serviceable filter cartridge. A preferred filter cartridge positionable within an air cleaner arrangement, is depicted.
Filter and filter cartridge
A filter cartridge for a filter for filtration of a fluid has a prismatic basic shape with a base face and a top face arranged parallel to each other and each having a polygonal basic shape. The prismatic basic shape is provided with a first lateral face and a second lateral face neighboring the first lateral face, wherein the first lateral face is an inflow surface and is substantially positioned perpendicular to the neighboring second lateral face. The prismatic basic shape has a third lateral face that is an outflow surface and is positioned at an angle relative to the first lateral face, wherein the angle is greater than 10 and smaller than 80. A filter with such a filter cartridge is disclosed.
Air cleaner assemblies and methods of use
An air cleaner assembly is disclosed. In one aspect, the air cleaner assembly includes a housing defining an inlet and an outlet, and including an access opening between the inlet and outlet. The air cleaner also includes a filter cartridge received within the housing and covering the access opening. The air cleaner also includes a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism is movable between an unlocked position in which the filter cartridge can be installed and removed from the housing and a locked position in which the filter cartridge is secured within the housing. The filter cartridge and lock mechanism include interacting features allowing the lock mechanism to be moved from the unlocked position to the locked position only when the filter cartridge is installed within the housing.
Filter element, oil separator, and method for controlling prevailing pressure in crankcase ventilation system
The invention describes a filter element for an oil separator of a crankcase ventilation system in which a filter element is configured to separate oil from fluid and that has a covering surface extending parallel to a direction of flow, together with at least one cover element covering surface in at least some regions. An oil separator is taught having the filter element with at least one pressure control valve controlling crankcase pressure and has a valve closing body that operates in conjunction with a valve seat.
Flange, filter insert, device for separating oil aerosol from air, and method for producing a filter insert
A flange for a filter insert for separating oil aerosol from air has a flange region with radial contact surface for supporting the flange; an axial first wall region adjoining radially inwardly the flange region; a radial cover region adjoining an end of the first wall region opposite the flange region; a second axial wall region adjoining radially inwardly the cover region and surrounding a central cutout. Radial lifting regions adjoin an end of the second wall region opposite the cover region and extend into the central cutout. First and second wall regions and cover region are concentric to each other. The lifting regions are arranged exclusively in a radially outer region of the central cutout. A coaxial imaginary circle with outer circumference defined by radially innermost points of the lifting regions has a radius of at least three fourths of a radius of the second wall region.
