A filter element has a filter media assembly extending between a first end and a second end to define a media length along a longitudinal axis. The filter media assembly defines a central opening on an upstream side and an outer radial boundary on a downstream side. A first endcap is coupled to the first end. The first endcap has a media potting structure defining an annular surface abutting the first end of the filter media assembly, an inner tubular flange extending longitudinally from the annular surface into the central opening, and an outer tubular flange extending longitudinally from the annular surface over the outer radial boundary of the first end of the filter media assembly. The first endcap has an outer circumferential sealing surface about the longitudinal axis and a shroud to obstruct fluid flow extending longitudinally from the outer circumferential sealing surface towards the second end.

Round filter element, in particular for gas filtration

A round filter element has a filter medium body with a wall to be flowed through by a fluid to be purified in a radial direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the filter medium body. A circumferentially extending seal carrier is arranged at or adjacent to an end face of the filter medium body. A sealing element is supported at the seal carrier adjacent to a radial outer side of the filter medium body. A positioning element extends into the filter medium body and engages with a correlated housing-associated counter positioning element of a filter housing when the round filter element is installed in the filter housing. The seal carrier separates flow-tightly a raw side of the round filter element from a clean side of the round filter element when the round filter element is installed in the filter housing.

A filter element includes first filter media, second filter media, a frame, and a seal member. The frame is coupled to the first filter media and the second filter media, the frame securing the first filter media and the second filter media into a V-shape. The seal member is attached to and extends from the frame. The seal member includes a U-shaped channel structured to receive a ridge of a housing when the filter element is installed in the housing. The seal member is structured to form a seal between the filter element and the housing when the filter element is installed in the housing.

One or more of the upper and lower portions define a ledge, wherein the ledge defines a third end surface arranged between the first and second end surfaces, and a second side surface extending between the first and third end surfaces; and a seal disposed upon the ledge. A method for manufacturing the seal is also disclosed.

An air filter and air purification technology including a frame encompassing a filter channel and a filter medium across the filter channel. The air filter and air purification technology also include one or more electrical heating components, placed in the filter channel and configured to heat the filter medium and/or air in the filter channel. Thus, the air filter has a heating function, and can heat the filter medium and the air in the filter channel according to actual working conditions and/or operations, so as to prevent moisture in the air from affecting the filtering efficiency of the filter medium. The air filter and air purification technology have the characteristics of enhancing the filtering effects and improving the service life of the filter.

A filter element for filtering a fluid has a filter body with a filter medium folded in a zigzag shape with folds extending in a fold direction. The filter body has an end edge bonding which seals fold ends of the folds. The filter body has an outer contour with recesses. The end edge bonding, in a region of the recesses of the outer contour of the filter body, is embodied discontinuously. The end edge bonding has at least one outwardly positioned first bonding segment and an inwardly positioned second bonding segment, viewed in the fold direction. The inwardly positioned second bonding segment, in a transverse direction relative to the fold direction, is arranged at a spacing to the at least one outwardly positioned first bonding segment. The at least one outwardly positioned first bonding segment and the inwardly positioned second bonding segment bond at least one common fold.

A filter element assembly (10) is disclosed comprising: a filter element (12) for location in a housing (4) of a filter (2), comprising a wall (16) of a filtration medium which defines a hollow space (18), for a gas stream to flow from the space through the wall, the filtration medium including a filtration layer (20), and a drainage layer (22) located outside the filtration layer, first (24) and second (26) end caps at opposite ends of the wall, one including a port (28) for a gas stream which communicates with the space; and a drainage promoter (14) comprising a fin (46) which can be fitted to the filter element so that it extends along the filter element substantially an entire distance between the first and second end caps, the fin compressing the drainage layer along its length to promote drainage of liquid which has collected in the drainage layer.
