Filter housing
The present invention relates to an air filter housing for supplying air to a space, said air filter housing being configured to be arranged in a ceiling of said space, said housing having a mouth facing downward, said mouth comprising a sealing surface configured to receive a panel type air filter comprising a frame and a filter medium held within said frame, such that a sealing connection between said sealing surface and said frame is achieved, characterized in that said filter housing further comprises at least one resilient member arranged below the sealing surface such that when a panel type air filter is inserted into the mouth, the resilient member will be deformed by the filter frame as the filter passes the resilient member, and resume its original shape once the filter has passed, such that the filter is retained between the sealing surface and the resilient member. The present invention further relates to the use of a filter housing in a cleanroom, and to a method of mounting a panel type air filter in an air filter housing.
AIR FILTER MEDIUM, AIR FILTER PACK, AND AIR FILTER UNIT
An air filter medium includes a first porous PTFE membrane and a second porous PTFE membrane. The air filter medium (10) has a first main surface and a second main surface, and the first porous PTFE membrane and the second porous PTFE membrane are arranged so that an air flow moving from the first main surface to the second main surface passes through the first porous PTFE membrane and subsequently through the second porous PTFE membrane. A thickness of the first porous PTFE membrane is in the range of 4 to 40 m and a specific surface area of the first porous PTFE membrane is 0.5 m.sup.2/g or less.
FILTER MATERIAL FOR AIR FILTER AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
A method for producing a filter material for an air filter according to the present disclosure includes: an adhering step of getting a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution adhering to a support, having fluid permeability, to bring the support into a wet state; and a drying step of drying the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution adhering to the support in the wet state at 140? C. or higher, in which the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution contains no other binder resins than polyvinyl alcohol, and the support, after the drying step, has the mesh-like network of polyvinyl alcohol, in the pore serving as a fluid permeation path, by drying the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution.
Biosafety Cabinet and Clean Air Device
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a clean air device that can reduce the risk of contamination due to static electricity. Provided is a biosafety cabinet or a clean air device that connects a biosafety cabinet and a clean booth, wherein a static eliminator (ionizer) that generates a corona discharge by way of concentrating an electric field on a needle-shaped discharge electrode and eliminates static with ionized air is disposed directly above an air flow branching point where air supplied to a work space branches to the front face and to rear face inside the biosafety cabinet.
Air cleaning system
An air cleaning system can rapidly senses occurrence of local pollution, caused by fine dust, through a remote sensor hub and supplies purified air to a polluted area in a concentrated manner, thereby quickly purifying indoor air.
Dry Room For Gas Substitution
A dry room for gas substitution has a drying chamber to receive dry air from a dry air supply device. Gas is circulated between inside the drying chamber and the dry air supply device. An airtight container is accommodated in the drying chamber. A low dew point gas supply device coupled to the airtight container removes moisture and supplies low dew point gas to the airtight container via a filter that removes foreign matter. An inert gas purification device removes oxygen and supplies an inert gas to the airtight container. A gas exhaust passage exhausts gas in the airtight container to outside of the drying chamber. The low dew point gas supply device and the inert gas purification device are independently provided so that moisture removal via the low dew point gas supply device is adjusted independently of oxygen removal via the inert gas purification device.
AIR TREATMENT SYSTEMS
An air mover for forcing air through the system, a pre-treating stage with a particulate filter for removing larger contaminants from the air and an antimicrobial (e.g., copper and silver) filter for killing or damaging microorganisms, a UV chamber including an ultraviolet lamp that emits radiation and a catalytic (e.g., TiO.sub.2-coated) device and a reflective (e.g., mirror-finish anodized aluminum) lining for amplifying the UV radiation for killing microorganisms, a post-UV stage including a VOC-reducing (e.g., activated-charcoal) filter for removing odors and VOCs from the air, and optionally a supply of a surface disinfectant (e.g., ClO.sub.2). In example embodiments, the UV lamps and VOC filters are selected and configured for controlling microbial pathogens, and in other example embodiments they are selected and configured for removing ethylene from the air.
Filter media including adhesives and/or oleophobic properties
Articles and methods involving filter media are generally provided. In certain embodiments, the filter media includes at least a first layer, a second layer, and an adhesive resin positioned between the first layer and the second layer. In some embodiments, the first layer may be a pre-filter layer or a support layer. The second layer may, for example, comprise fibers formed by a solution spinning process and/or may comprise fine fibers. In some embodiments, the adhesive resin may be present in a relatively low amount and/or may have a low glass transition temperature. The filter media as a whole may have one or more advantageous properties, including one or more of a high stiffness, a high bond strength between the first layer and the second layer, a high gamma, and/or a low increase in air resistance after being subjected to an IPA vapor discharge. The filter media may be, for example, a HEPA filter and/or an ULPA filter.
AIR CLEANING SYSTEM
An air cleaning system can rapidly senses occurrence of local pollution, caused by fine dust, through a remote sensor hub and supplies purified air to a polluted area in a concentrated manner, thereby quickly purifying indoor air.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING, MONITORING AND/OR IMPROVING AIR QUALITY AND PURITY IN AT LEAST ONE ROOM OR ENVIRONMENT
A system and method for maintaining, monitoring and improving air quality and purity in a room or environment, such as a hospital room or operating room.
