RESPIRATORY GAS HUMIDIFIER
A gas humidifier can have a gas channel comprising an inlet and an outlet. A portion of the gas channel can have a region having a reduction in cross-sectional area relative to the portions of the gas channel outside of the region. A water conduit can extend from the region to a water reservoir. A heating element can heat water entering the region from the water conduit. Water vaporized using the heating element can join the flow of gases passing through the gas channel in use.
Electronic cigarette
In an electronic cigarette, a mesh element is in contact with liquid storage. A heater is spaced apart from the mesh element and positioned to heat air which flows through the mesh element. The heated air vaporizes the liquid in or on the mesh. The vapor is inhaled by the user. A method of vaporizing a liquid in an electronic cigarette includes conducting liquid from a liquid storage to a mesh element. Electric current is supplied to a heater, optionally in response to sensing inhalation on the outlet or mouthpiece of the electronic cigarette. The heater heats air and the heated air is conducted through the mesh element, with the heated air vaporizing liquid on or in the mesh element. The vaporized liquid is entrained with the heated air and may then flow through or around the liquid storage to the mouthpiece.
Aerosol-generating devices and aerosol-generating systems
An aerosol-generating system includes an aerosol-generating device and at least two consumables. Each consumable includes an aerosol-forming substrate. The aerosol-generating device further includes a device housing comprising at least two receiving chambers, wherein each consumable is accommodated in a separate receiving chamber of the at least two receiving chambers. The aerosol-generating device further includes at least two mouthpieces, wherein each mouthpiece of the at least two mouthpieces is aligned with a separate consumable of the at least two consumables and wherein the aerosol-generating device is configured to isolate airflows through separate, respective mouthpieces of the at least two mouthpieces.
AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE, METHOD OF CONTROLLING AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE, AND PROGRAM
Provided is an aerosol generating device which is capable of stopping aerosol generation at an appropriate timing. This aerosol generating device includes a power source which supplies power in order to atomize an aerosol source and/or heat a flavor source; a sensor which outputs a measurement value for controlling the power supplied; and a circuitry which controls the power supplied from the power source on the basis of the measurement value. The circuitry controls to increase a power supply amount per unit time in response to a first condition that the measured value is equal to or larger than a first threshold being satisfied, and to decrease the power supply amount per unit time in response to a second condition that the measured value is less than a second threshold greater than the first threshold and a third condition which is different from the first condition and the second condition being satisfied.
ENGINE MIXING STRUCTURES
A fuel and gas mixing structure for an engine is provided. This mixing structure includes a body configured to be positioned between a fuel injector and a cylinder of an engine. The body defines an interior volume that is configured to receive gas (e.g., air) from outside the body and to receive one or more streams of fuel from the fuel injector in the interior volume. The body also includes one or more upper channels and one or more lower channels that are configured to provide a substantially similar amount of flow relative to each other to the interior volume The body also defines one or more mixture conduits configured to conduct plumes of the fuel and gas, while mixing, from the interior volume to one or more exit ports and therethrough to the cylinder.
AIR SCRUBBER
An air scrubber has an electrically driven fan and a drum having a mat forming a closed circulating band spanning a support of the drum. The mat is electrically rotatably driven about a rotation axis, wherein a lower part of the drum is immersed in a water basin. The mat can be removed from the drum by a movement in the axial direction and pushed back on again by a movement in the axial direction.
MULTI-FLUID INJECTION MIXER AND RELATED METHODS
The present disclosure includes mixing apparatuses comprising a pipe having an internal channel having a convergent frustoconical portion, and a divergent portion. The divergent portion may comprise a divergent frustoconical portion and an annular, concave curved portion. A plurality of injection ports may be spaced circumferentially in the convergent frustoconical portion and communicate a liquid into internal channel. The plurality of injection ports may define an opening in the internal channel having a first dimension in a circumferential direction that is larger than a second dimension in a longitudinal direction. The injection mixer may be configured to mix a first fluid flowing through the pipe with the second fluid to form a fully homogenous, dispersed fluid mixture.
Scent dispersion device
A scent delivery system includes a housing that releases a volatile substance from a porous body into the air. The housing may be part of a scent dispersion device that includes volatilization as directed by a fan and a controller within the housing.
