Apparatuses and Methods for Formulating Using a Swirl Chamber
An outer shell and nozzle portion define therebetween a swirl chamber having a plurality of inlet flow paths and an outlet flow path. The swirl chamber may receive a plurality of substances or components from separate sources, to mix the plurality of substances in the swirl chamber, and to deliver the mixed substances or formulation through an outlet, e.g., to a connector. The substances may be sterile, and the entire flow path from the substance sources to the container may be sterile and aseptically sealed from ambient atmosphere. The outer shell and nozzle portion may be constructed of plastic or other disposable materials. The swirl chamber may be constructed to optimize the mixing of the substances through control of the velocity by which each substance enters the swirl chamber.
Device for producing a gaseous fuel composite and system of production thereof
The invention relates to a gaseous fuel composite, a device for producing the gaseous fuel composite, and subcomponents used as part of the device for producing the gaseous fuel composite, and more specifically, to a gaseous composite made of a gas fuel such as natural gas and its oxidant such as air for burning as part of different systems such as fuel burners, combustion chambers, and the like. The device includes several vortex generators each with a curved aerodynamic channel amplifier to create a stream of air to aerate the gas as successive stages using both upward and rotational kinetic energy. Further, a vortex generator may have an axial channel with a conical shape or use different curved channel amplifiers to further create the gaseous fuel composite.
Device for Producing a Gaseous Fuel Composite and System of Production Thereof

Colloidal mixing method for slurries
Colloidal mixing of cementitious material into a liquid such as water to form a grout slurry for pumping to a location for use includes a mixing tank and a colloidal mixing mill which grinds and pumps the mixed material with the material being repeatedly circulated between the mill and the tank. The colloidal mixing mill includes a housing defining a generally cylindrical chamber containing a rotor shaped to define a clearance of the order of 3 mm between the front and rear wall of the housing and the rotor with holes from a dished front face of the rotor to the rear face to carry the mixed materials to the clearance where a shearing action takes place to shear the particles in the mixed materials prior to exit through the outlet.
Dosing and mixing arrangement for use in exhaust aftertreatment
A dosing and mixing arrangement is disclosed herein. The arrangement includes a mixing tube having a constant diameter along its length. At least a first portion of the mixing tube includes a plurality of apertures. The arrangement also includes a swirl structure for causing exhaust flow to swirl outside of the first portion of the mixing tube in one direction along a flow path that extends at least 270 degrees around a central axis of the mixing tube. The arrangement is configured such that the exhaust enters an interior of the mixing tube through the apertures as the exhaust swirls along the flow path. The exhaust entering the interior of the mixing tube through the apertures has a tangential component that causes the exhaust to swirl around the central axis within the interior of the mixing tube. The arrangement also includes a doser for dispensing a reactant into the interior of the mixing tube.
MEDIA MIXING CHAMBER
A mixing apparatus for reconstituting a powdered cell culture media. The apparatus includes at least one fluid chamber, an influent port at a lower portion of the fluid chamber. The apparatus further includes a geometric fluid flow aid positioned in the fluid chamber and an effluent port at the top of the fluid chamber. A powdered cell culture media is provided in the fluid to be mixed with a fluid provided by the influent port. The effluent port is configured to allow reconstituted media to exit the fluid chamber.
EXHAUST-GAS MIXER
An exhaust-gas mixing pipe for admixing additive into an exhaust-gas stream of a combustion engine. The housing wall has multiple rows, arranged over a circumference U, of openings through which gas can flow into the interior of the pipe, wherein the at least one opening of a row forms in each case one stage M characterized according to its size by the average opening cross section Q of the openings, wherein the sum of all the opening cross sections Q of all the openings of all the rows of the exhaust-gas mixing pipe is equal to SQ. In that context, at least one first-order stage M1, is provided, wherein stage M1 has openings having an average opening cross section Q1. At least one second-order stage M2, is provided, with openings having an average opening cross section Q2, where Q2>=f Q1, where 5<=f<=25.
SYSTEM APPARATUS AND METHOD SUITABLE FOR REDUCING THE CONTAMINATE CONCENTRATION OF EFFLUENT BEFORE DISCHARGE
An apparatus, system and method to reduce the contaminate concentration of effluent before discharge is provided utilizing discharge pipes, inlets and outlets. The apparatus comprises a central bore having an internal diameter suitable for a fluid flow, wherein the fluid flow moves inside the central bore through the apparatus, and at least one outlet, wherein the fluid flow exits the apparatus through the at least one outlet, a plurality of inlets for flowing additional fluid to the central bore, and wherein the inlets mix the fluid flow with the additional fluid from the plurality of inlets. The apparatus can further mix the effluent though additional mixing devices and additional devices can be used to recapture energy such as, hydroelectric power from the fluid flow. A method reduces the effluent concentration by mixing for example, by creating a helical flow in the central bore. The system using a control panel to achieve favorable mixing or fluid flow by controlling the fluid flow properties of the inlets.
MULTI CHAMBER MIXING MANIFOLD
