A plant growing system includes a base component; and a container disposed on top of the base component. The container includes a container body having a floor surface at a lower end, and a wall having a lower edge coupled to the floor surface and extending upward from the perimeter of the floor surface to an upper edge. A drainage port is disposed through the wall near the lower edge of the wall.

A system for cultivating a crop includes a guide and a plurality of gutters. Each gutter is provided to contain a plurality of crop units and the guide is provided to guide the gutters in a first direction and to gradually increase the distance between adjacent gutters in said direction so that the number of crop units per square metre in the area substantially decreases. The area comprises first and second zones, and each gutter in the first zone contains crop units with a first intermediate distance and each gutter in the second zone contains crop units with a second intermediate distance. The first intermediate distance is considerably smaller than the second intermediate distance and the distance between gutters in the first zone at the position of a transition from the first zone to the second zone is considerably greater than the distance between gutters in the second zone.

The invention discloses a tray (100) for growing agricultural products (111), particularly for vertical farms, comprising a rigid single-block structure having a base (101) that is closed on all the perimeter sides by a containment edge (104), the base (101) and the containment edge (104) forming a hollow body hermetically sealed towards the environment outside the tray (100).

An apparatus for growing plants is includes a body section having an upper orifice, a lower orifice, a back section, and at least one door. The upper orifice allows for planting of a plant while the at least one door allows for removal of the plant for transplanting. The upper orifice is smaller in cross-sectional area than the lower orifice allowing for plants to grow in their natural pattern giving the roots more room to grow in more soil from which to absorb nutrients making for a happier, healthier plant which will not need to be transplanted as often.

A dual-sided hydroponic tower utilizing separate body and face components coupled together with temporary fasteners. The tower includes a tower body that defines two vertical cavities. Attached to each vertical cavity is a tower face, each tower face including a plurality of plant container compatible cut-outs. By utilizing separate body and face components, the end user is able to easily switch tower face plates in order to adapt the tower to different plant container configurations. The gutter assembly also includes a gutter cap that is attached to the gutter pipe via the mounting ledges using a snap fit system.
