Flexible leg supporting membrane, leg support frame and mobile patient standing and raising aid
A flexible supporting membrane is made from a stretchable material formed into a sheet that adjusts itself based on the pressure applied by a patient's knees. The membrane includes: a top edge adapted to be located in a vicinity of the knees of the patient when in use; a bottom edge adapted to be located in a vicinity of the patient's ankles when in use; and a first and second lateral edge extending between the bottom edge and the top edge. The flexible supporting membrane further includes a central section and two peripheral sections extending along the direction defined by the lateral edges between the top edge and the bottom edge of the sheet. The peripheral sections are adapted for each supporting one of the two knees of a patient by yielding to the pressure exerted by the knees and thus forming a knee cradling depression.
Control Unit
Control unit (7), especially for a patient lift (1) comprising a base (10) and a power supply (8), said power supply (8) is releasably mounted on the base (10), and comprising locking means for retaining the power supply (8) on the base (10). The locking means comprises a set of slots and protrusions (17,18;20,22) on the base (10) and the power supply (8) and where the protrusions and slots engage each other, when the base (10) and the power supply (8) is displaced sideways in relation to each other. A tab (27) is arranged on an arm (24) of the locking handle (23). The tab (27) goes into the gap (28) between the base (10) and the power supply (8), when the locking handle (23) is locked. Thus, the protrusions (17,20) and slots (18,22) are in engagement with each other and at the same time functioning as a locking mechanism.
MOUNTING ASSEMBLIES FOR OVERHEAD RAIL SYSTEMS AND OVERHEAD RAIL SYSTEMS TO SUPPORT A LIFT UNIT
A mounting assembly for a cross-rail of an overhead rail system includes a mounting rail, an attachment bracket, and a spring-loaded pin. The mounting rail is configured to mount to a sidewall and includes a bracket receiving recess. The attachment bracket includes an attachment portion and an extension portion, wherein the attachment portion is shaped to correspond to the bracket receiving recess such that the attachment portion is positionable within the bracket receiving recess. The spring-loaded pin is coupled to the attachment bracket and includes a retracted position and an extended position, wherein the spring-loaded pin is biased to the extended position to lock the cross-rail to the extension portion of the attachment bracket.
HUMAN FLOOR LIFT
A human lift apparatus is disclosed. In various embodiments, the lift apparatus includes a substantially vertical guide rail; a carriage positioned to be moved up and down along the guide rail; a drive mechanism coupled to the carriage and configured to move the carriage at a controlled rate along the guide rail; and a tiltable seat coupled mechanically to the carriage in a manner that allows the seat to tilt about a substantially transverse tilt axis that is substantially parallel to the floor and runs substantially across the seat at a depth that enables a human subject to be seated on the tiltable seat with the center of gravity of the human subject being between the tilt axis and a back end of the seat. The tiltable seat is tiltably mounted in a manner and location that allows the tiltable seat to tilt down, with a front edge of the seat lower than the back edge of the seat, as the center of gravity of the human subject is shifted to a position forward of the tilt axis.
Patient transfer system
Disclosed is a patient transfer system for transferring a user between a bed and a purposefully designed mobile sitting device that is aligned and berthed alongside the bed, wherein, the bed is adaptable to a seated arrangement and includes an interleaf structure of cushions and platforms, the platform including: a padding, a rail, restricted path, or track, and means for transferring the padding in a direction parallel to the ground away or towards the bed; the bed further includes means to raise or lower the top of the cushions or the padding; and the mobile sitting device includes a receiving rail, restricted path or track to receive the padding.
BATHTUB LIFT
A bathtub lift (1) includes a floor plate (2), a seat plate (3) adjustable to vary the distance between the seat plate (3) and the floor plate (2), and a back plate (4) detachably arranged on the seat plate (3). The back plate (4) supports an adjustment device (5) driven by a drive (6) for adjusting the distance between the floor plate and the seat plate. A locking device (7) is configured to release the back plate (4). The back plate (4) is not arranged on the surface (8) of the seat plate (3) facing away from the floor plate (2), and a detaching of the floor plate (4) is only made possible in a floor-plate-side end position of the seat plate (3).
Limb elevation device with securement straps
A limb elevation device comprising a base having a proximal section with an angled upper surface and a distal section with a planar upper surface. The bottom surface of the distal section having one or more recesses with anchor points disposed within the one or more recesses. Securement straps may be selectively attached to the anchor points and the securement straps may be utilized to secure the limb elevation device to a table, bed, or other surface and/or to secure the patient's leg to the securement device itself.
PORTABLE MEDICAL LIFT AND POSITIONING DEVICE AND ADAPTER THEREFORE
A lift and position device and adapter and methods of use therewith designed to aid attendants in moving and propping the various selected body parts of a patient from atop a support surface, for example, a mattress or hospital bed. The device utilizes a base for stability, a separately powered screw jack, radial adjustment head, a cushion cradle and a single or plurality of fitted cushion(s) configured to optimally raise and lower a particular body part of a patient such as his or her arms, torso, legs, back and the like. An adapter device may optionally re-orient the lift and positioning device, as appropriate, to suit the specific needs of an attendant wishing to the lift, shift, position or prop and secure a particular body part of a patient.
Human body positioning system
A human body positioning system can employ a base that supports a first arm via a first hinge, a second arm connected to the first arm via a second hinge, and a third arm connected to the second arm via a third hinge. A human body may be supported within the third arm by a body support. Each of the arm can be configured with a cutout region positioned to provide physical access to a portion of the human body.
