A urine collection system includes a urine collection device configured to collect urine discharged from a user and a urine collection container in fluid communication with the urine collection device and sized and dimensioned to receive the urine discharged from the user. The urine collection system also includes a flow meter having a communication interface and positioned between the urine collection container and the urine collection device. The flow meter is configured to detect a flow property of the urine at least related to a volume of the urine entering the urine collection container and the communication interface is configured to wirelessly communicate to a computing device at least one of the detected flow property or the volume of the urine including the volume of the urine discharged from the user entering the urine collection container.

The system includes a cleaning unit to position a cleaning roller below the buttocks region of the patient The cleaning unit is to rotate the cleaning roller in a predefined speed to clean the buttocks region of the patient. The cleaning unit is to activate the rollers to move the fabric material contaminated by the excreta away from the patient.

Examples relate to devices, systems, and methods for collecting and measuring discharged urine. A urine collection system includes a urine collection device configured to collect urine discharged from a user and a urine collection container in fluid communication with the urine collection device and sized and dimensioned to receive the urine discharged from the user. The urine collection system also includes a flow meter having a communication interface and positioned between the urine collection container and the urine collection device. The flow meter is configured to detect a flow property of the urine at least related to a volume of the urine entering the urine collection container and the communication interface is configured to wirelessly communicate to a computing device at least one of the detected flow property or the volume of the urine including the volume of the urine discharged from the user entering the urine collection container.

A human waste capturing device for hygienic management of bodily waste of a bedbound user includes a bedpan, which is operationally and fluidically couplable to cleaning and waste management modules. The bedpan is partially positionable under buttocks of a user who is bedbound so that a receptacle of the bedpan can receive bodily waste from the user. The cleaning module then selectively directs water and air onto genitals, a perineum, and an anus of the user for rinsing and drying, respectively. The waste management module connects to an air mover so that the bodily waste is urged by passage of air from the bedpan to the waste management module. The waste management module separates the bodily waste from the air so that the bodily waste is segregated for disposal as the air passes through the waste management module to the air mover.

Disclosed herein are devices and methods for utilizing a portable bedpan for positioning patients. The portable bedpan can comprise a seat having a flat surface and a curved surface. The flat surface can comprise a seat opening in a center of the seat and one or more seat handle openings on opposite sides of the seat. The curved surface can be adjacent to the flat surface and can form a hollow interior. The flat surface can comprise one or more flanges within the hollow interior. The bedpan can further comprise a cartridge slidably coupled to the commode seat. The cartridge can be insertable through the one or more flanges. The bedpan can further comprise a liner removably coupled to the cartridge. The liner can be configured to hold fluid.

A movable toilet travels along a support track located beneath a uniquely designed mattress with a circular opening. The toilet can be positioned under the patient when needed and retracted for sanitary disposal of waste, reducing patient discomfort, staff burden, and risk of exposure to bodily fluids.
