The hospital bed frame has a pallet for supporting the flexible mattress and a chute attached to the frame beneath the pallet that receives the end of the flexible mattress. Multiple rollers direct the flexible mattress and belt. A motor supplies rotational force to one of the rollers and one of the rollers also provides for bending the flexible mattress to enter the chute, so that the end of the flexible mattress is guided underneath the pallet. A system includes the hospital bed with a detachable sanitary station. The sanitary station includes a toilet top and unites with the bed to deliver the patient to a position atop the toilet.

A control unit is coupled to the bed frame and the control unit is electrically coupled to the toilet unit to control operational parameters of the toilet unit.

A urine collection system includes a urine collection device configured to collect urine discharged from a user and a urine collection container in fluid communication with the urine collection device and sized and dimensioned to receive the urine discharged from the user. The urine collection system also includes a flow meter having a communication interface and positioned between the urine collection container and the urine collection device. The flow meter is configured to detect a flow property of the urine at least related to a volume of the urine entering the urine collection container and the communication interface is configured to wirelessly communicate to a computing device at least one of the detected flow property or the volume of the urine including the volume of the urine discharged from the user entering the urine collection container.

The urine collection system also includes a flow meter having a communication interface and positioned between the urine collection container and the urine collection device. The flow meter is configured to detect a flow property of the urine at least related to a volume of the urine entering the urine collection container and the communication interface is configured to wirelessly communicate to a computing device at least one of the detected flow property or the volume of the urine including the volume of the urine discharged from the user entering the urine collection container.

The apparatus includes a lining sheet, an elastic loop, a first finger slot, and a second finger slot. The elastic loop secures the lining sheet onto a bedpan and closes an opening of the apparatus in order to prevent the waste contained within the lining sheet from escaping. The first finger slot and the second finger slot allows the user to access the elastic loop. The elastic loop is perimetrically and slidably mounted around the lining sheet so that the user may remove the apparatus from the bedpan without coming into contact with the waste. The elastic loop is preferably slidably positioned within an annular sleeve that is perimetrically connected around the lining sheet.
