The body includes the gender-specific module, which is detachably provided and includes the urine disposal unit.

The controller is further configured to receive the signals produced by the detectors and detect any addition or removal of removable components of the patient support apparatus, update the tare weight, and determine a weight of a patient being supported on the patient support apparatus.

URINE STORAGE CONTAINER HANDLE AND LID ACCESSORIES

Example urine storage assemblies and systems for storing and disposing urine are described. The assembly includes a urine storage container, a lid, and a handle accessory. The lid is secured or securable to an open end of the urine storage container. The lid includes a vacuum port, a urine collection port, a urine disposal port, and a cap secured or securable to the urine disposal port. The handle accessory includes a sleeve and at least one handle. The sleeve is shaped and sized complimentary to at least a portion of the urine storage container.

FEMALE URINARY DEVICE

An external female urinary device is described includes a connecting and urine collecting component (CUCC) and a urine directing and discharging component (UDCC) configured to connect with the CUCC. The CUCC tapers from a larger orifice to a smaller orifice. The CUCC has a ring defining the larger orifice. The ring is made of a material capable of adhering to urethral orifice surrounding skin (UOSS) as well as to the inner facing surfaces of the labia minora and/or the labia majora after the CUCC is pressed against that UOSS. The ring remains adhered to the UOSS without requiring an external force for keeping the ring in contact with that skin. FEMALE EXTERNAL URINARY DEVICE AND ASSEMBLY

Disclosed is a female external urinary device useful in managing urine output of a female, such as for surgical use. The urinary device generally comprises a core having a suction channel and an interior reservoir fluidically communicating with the suction channel, an absorbent layer, and a fabric cover. Desirably, the urinary device includes a moderately absorbent soaker layer disposed inwardly with respect to the core. A urinary device assembly includes the core and a pelvic belt that may be secure to the core and positioned to collect urine from a female patient.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR RECEIVING DISCHARGED URINE

A system suitable for collecting and transporting urine away from the body of a person or animal may include an assembly having a fluid impermeable casing having a fluid reservoir at a first end, a fluid outlet at a second end, and a longitudinally extending fluid impermeable layer coupled to the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet and defining a longitudinally elongated opening between the reservoir and the outlet. The assembly can further include a fluid permeable support disposed within the casing with a portion extending across the elongated opening, and a fluid permeable membrane disposed on the support and covering at least the portion of the support that extends across the elongated opening, so that the membrane is supported on the support and disposed across the elongated opening. The assembly can further include a tube having a first end disposed in the reservoir and a second, fluid discharge end.
