Blender system with rotatable blade assembly

A blender system includes a container having a rotatable blade assembly therein, a lid covering an open end of the container, and a base with a motorized unit. When the container is coupled with the base, the motorized unit is adapted to drive rotation of the rotatable blade assembly. The lid includes a hinged actuator lever adapted to actuate the motorized unit. A detent extends from the hinged actuator lever and passes through a series of apertures and presses against a slidable actuator shaft disposed in the container and maintained in its position by a spring force, thereby depressing a switch for the motorized unit. A rotatable blade system includes cutting blade(s) and crushing blade(s). The crushing blade extends longitudinally outwardly from a hub. When the hub rotates in a first direction or second direction opposite the first direction, a face of the crushing blade is leading or trailing, respectively.

METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF POLYMER POLYOLS

The present invention refers to the use of hydrofoil impellers for the preparation of polymer polyols and to a method for preparing a polymer polyol, which comprises reacting a base polyol, at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a macromer or a preformed stabilizer in the presence of a free-radical initiator and optionally a chain transfer agent in a reactor, wherein said reactor is stirred by means of a stirring system comprising a shaft rotatable about its longitudinal axis, and a plurality of radially extending hydrofoil impellers mounted on the shaft and respectively axially spaced apart and wherein the reactor does not contain baffles.

Disclosed herein are methods and systems for the transportation and delivery of set-delayed cement compositions to a well site. A method of cementing may comprise preparing a set-delayed cement composition. The method further may comprise storing the set-delayed cement composition. The method further may comprise transporting the set-delayed cement composition to a well site in a containment vessel. The method further may comprise discharging the set-delayed cement composition from the containment vessel and into a wellbore.

CONTROLLING LOCAL FLUID AGE IN A STIRRED REACTOR
20170136436 · 2017-05-18 · ·

In a stirred tank chemical reactor the mean age of the reactor contents affects a number of properties of the product, including for example the homogeneity of the product. The mean average age of the reactor contents can be determined by constructing a transparent model of the reactor and filling it with a fluid containing a fluorescent dye and having flow properties comparable to those of the reactor in use. A light is shone on the fluid as it is stirred under reaction conditions and a clear fluid flow into the model. Pictures are taken of the reactor contents and the mean fluid age of the contents of the model are determined relative to the exit age of the contents. This approach can be applied to determine for example which reactor ports to use, what agitator to use, what flow rates to use to improve reactor function.

BATHWATER CIRCULATING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING SAME
20170120202 · 2017-05-04 ·

A bathwater circulating system has a pump operable to draw fluid in at an intake port and expel it under pressure at an output port. Water- and air-supply conduits feed water and air to the intake port at a rate determined by a flow-restricting air-intake valve so that the pump mixes the water and the air, pressurizes the mixture and thereby dissolves the air in the water, and expels the air/water mixture at the output port. A pressure-reducing valve is connected by an output conduit that extends from the output port to the pressure relief valve and conducts the water/air-bubble mixture from the pump to the pressure-reducing valve without separation of the air from the water and such that the mixture is at least partially depressurized at the pressure-reducing valve such that the air forms microbubbles in the water.

Steam stripping apparatus and steam-stripping finishing method using same

A steam stripping apparatus is provided that prevents adherence of crumbs to an inner wall of a crumbing tank, pipe blockages caused by reaggregated large particle size crumbs, clogging of a screen by small particle size crumbs, and slipping in an extruder, and which can operate over a long period of time. The crumbing tank includes a stir shaft and an impeller, and also has a baffle plate on an inner wall face. The impeller has a knife blade. The baffle plate has an approximately triangular cross-sectional shape having, on a cross section in a cylindrical lateral direction of the crumbing tank, a side face on each of an upstream side and a downstream side with respect to a flow direction of a fluid, and in which the upstream-side side face and the downstream-side side face meet to form an intersection point.
