The disclosure herein describes a concrete mixing machine for indoor preparation of fluid concrete for disposition as flooring. The concrete mixing machine is capable of mixing of 23 bags of concrete concurrently. The concrete mixing machine produces a large batch of concrete, and the concrete mixing machine moves and deposits the concrete for application. The concrete mixing machine is hydraulically operated and self-propelled. The concrete mixing machine does not emit gases harmful to indoor air quality and thus is environmentally friendly.

FREE RADICAL GENERATOR AND METHODS OF USE

Devices suitable for use in an advanced oxidation method for organic and inorganic pollutants deploying OH* radicals and ozone is disclosed. Optionally, a first discharge device, providing OH* radicals and second discharge device providing ozone, are combined to provide desirable chemical and biocidal characteristics. Further, efficient mixing systems for transferring the radicals to the target fluid are disclosed.

Reactor for gas-liquid mass transfer

A reactor for gas-liquid mass transfer between a gas and a liquid or slurry includes a tank for receiving the liquid or slurry having a wall; a drive shaft; an upward pumping impeller; and an aerating apparatus disposed above the upward pumping impeller and extending between the drive shaft and the wall of the tank at a first distance (d1) from the drive shaft and at a second distance (d2) from the wall of the tank, the aerating apparatus encircling the drive shaft at least partially. The aerating apparatus has an outward inclined or curved inner surface for directing at least a part of the flow over the inner surface.

Fluid mixing system

A fluid mixing system includes a flexible bag having a first end, an opposing second end, and an interior surface bounding a compartment. A first rotational assembly includes a first casing mounted to the first end of the flexible bag and a first hub rotatably mounted to the first casing. A second rotational assembly includes a second casing mounted to the second end of the flexible bag and a second hub rotatably mounted to the second casing. An elongated member has a first end coupled with the first hub and an opposing second end coupled with the second hub, the connector being flexible and having a uniform flexibility along its entire length. A first impeller is mounted to the connector.

CONTINUOUS SLURRY-BED TANK REACTOR AND METHOD OF USING SAME

A continuous slurry-bed tank reactor, comprising a tank reactor body, an agitator, and tubular separation membranes. A method of using the continuous slurry-bed tank reactor comprising adding a catalyst, feeding reactants, stopping feeding the reactants, starting a heating system, changing directions of the reactants flowing through the tubular separation membranes.

Mixing vessel with locking assembly for locking a mixing assembly in storage position and mixing impeller with central disc-like member

A mixing vessel for accommodating components to be mixed has a container with at least one mounting depression in a side wall of the container. The mounting depression is adapted so that a mixing impeller housing of a mixing impeller is at least partly insertable, in which at least one magnet is housed for being magnetically connectable to a drive device to be driven. A locking assembly is attachable to the mounting depression from outside for locking the mixing impeller in a storage position, in which the mixing impeller is not rotatable. The locking assembly has a magnetically active element that is adapted to interact with the magnet of the mixing impeller.

Methods and Apparatus for Processing Fluids

A method for processing a fluid includes removably securing a retention member to a vessel that bounds a chamber; inserting a collapsible bag within the chamber of the vessel; securing the bag to the retention member so that the bag is supported within the chamber of the vessel; and dispensing a fluid into a compartment of the collapsible bag supported within the chamber of the vessel. The fluid can be mixed within bag while the bag is disposed within the vessel.

AIR-STIRRED TANK REACTOR (ASTR) FOR PRODUCTION OF MICROORGANISMS AND CELL CULTURES

An air-stirred tank reactor (ASTR) and methods of use thereof are described herein. The ASTR is equipped with an impeller or set of impellers that mechanically mixes a liquid culture, as well as sparges gas into the liquid medium. The impeller can further have lighting sources that can illuminate the liquid culture. Unlike conventional bioreactors, the ASTR provides superior liquid mixing, efficient gas mass transfer, and a low-shear culture environment through appropriate impeller rotational speed and sparging rate.
