A METHOD FOR REDUCING AN AMOUNT OF MICROORGANISMS IN BREWERS SPENT GRAINS
The present invention relates to a method (300) for reducing an amount of microorganisms in brewers spent grains (BSG). The method (300) comprises feeding (S305) a liquid (120) and the BSG (110) into a mixing arrangement (130), mixing (S310), by means of the mixing arrangement (130), the liquid (120) and the BSG to form a mixture, feeding (S330) the mixture into a heat exchanger (140), and heating (S335), by means of the heat exchanger (140), the mixture for a predetermined period of time at a predetermined temperature such that the amount of microorganisms in the BSG (110) is reduced.
REACTOR ASSEMBLY
A reactor assembly is provided for heating plastic material. The reactor assembly includes: a reactor vessel including a central axis; and an agitator mounted within the reactor vessel. The agitator includes: one or more blade(s) distal from the central axis for mixing contents of the reactor vessel in use; and one or more wearing parts mounted to the blade(s) to extend from the blade(s).
STIRRER
An agitator is capable of more efficiently applying a shear force to a treatment target fluid through the action of an intermittent jet flow. The agitator includes a rotor which includes blade, and a screen concentric therewith, the rotation of at least the rotor causing a treatment target fluid to pass through slits in the screen to become an intermittent get stream, which is discharged from inside the screen to the outside thereof, wherein the agitator is characterized in that: the screen has a cylindrical shape with a circular cross section; openings of the slits provided in an inner surface of the screen constitute flow intake openings; openings of the slits provided in an outer surface of the screen constitute flow discharge openings; spaces between the flow intake openings and the flow discharge openings constitute slit space; and the circumferential-directional width (So) of the flow discharge openings and the circumferential-directional width (Si) of the flow intake openings are greater than the circumferential-directional width (Sm) of the slit spaces.
VACUUM DEAERATOR
A vacuum deaerator degasses material to be processed by placing a rotating rotor with a screen in a vacuum vessel, introducing a liquid material to be processed into the rotor from the interior thereof and causing the liquid to pass through the screen to refine the same. The vacuum deaerator is characterized in that: the screen is a cylinder with a circular cross-section and is in the form of a porous plate in which a plurality of through holes are opened in the radial direction of the cylindrical screen; and the screen is provided such that the area of inflow openings is greater than the area of outflow openings, where the inflow openings are openings of a plurality of penetration portions provided on the inner wall face of the screen and the outflow openings are openings of the plurality of penetration portions provided on the outer wall dace of the screen. Thus, the processing capacity of the vacuum deaerator is improved without increasing the size of the device.
Continuous blade impeller
An impeller is usable in a variable diameter bioreactor having multiple vessel sections of successively increasing or decreasing volume. The impeller includes an impeller blade extending along an impeller blade axis between first and second axial ends and having opposed impeller blade faces, an impeller blade leading edge, and an impeller blade trailing edge. Each of the leading and trailing edges defines a helix or spiral between the axial ends of the impeller blade. In certain arrangements, the impeller blade is one of at least two impeller blades joined together along an impeller shaft extending axially along the impeller blade axis mentioned, and the helix or spiral has a pitch approximately equal to one half of a length between the first and second axial ends.
WASHING MACHINE
Disclosed is a washing machine with an improved stirring device. The washing machine includes a tub, a rotating tub rotatably provided in the tub, a stirring device including a first stirring portion rotatably provided below the rotating tub, and a second stirring portion coupled to the first stirring portion. The second stirring portion includes a cylindrical wash rod body and a groove that is recessed from an outer surface of the wash rod body and extends in a longitudinal direction to accommodate a parting line formed by a manufacturing process.
WASHING MACHINE
Disclosed is a washing machine having an improved structure of a pulsator. The washing machine includes a tub, a rotating tub rotatably provided in the tub, a pulsator provided in the rotating tub to generate a wash water flow, and an agitator coupled to the pulsator and provided to generate a water flow by rubbing laundry and water, and a discharge provided at a coupler of the pulsator and the agitator so that foreign substances or water inside the pulsator and the agitator are discharged.
A Mixing Apparatus and Mixing Method
Lightweight construction panels, such as plasterboard, (e.g. gypsum plasterboard) are commonly used to provide internal partitions in buildings. Sheets of plasterboard are typically carried and positioned by hand. Accordingly, it is desirable to reduce the weight of plasterboard. It is known to include an aqueous foam in the stucco slurry used to produce plasterboards. However, prior known mixers have been found to destroy foam bubbles. The present invention provides a stucco slurry mixing apparatus (100) including an inlet (130) for the introduction of foam into a mixing chamber (110), wherein the inlet (130) includes an inlet aperture (132) in a wall of the mixing chamber (110) and an inlet conduit (134) extending therefrom such that a relative angle between a longitudinal axis (136) of the inlet conduit (134) and a tangent (140) to a mixing path (124) defined by a mixing member (120) is less than 90 degrees.
Mixer system for producing a cosmetic product and dispensing bottle
The invention relates to a mixer system for producing a cosmetic product. The invention also relates to a bottle for dispensing a cosmetic product. The mixer system is used to produce a cosmetic product from capsules (7, 8, 9) containing the raw materials needed in the composition of such a cosmetic product, namely the cosmetic texturiser, the cosmetic active ingredient and, optionally, a cosmetic fragrance. The invention is intended to be used in the cosmetics industry.
