The present application is directed towards systems for adding components to materials being fluidized in a vibratory mixer by use of atomizers or sprayers. A mechanical system can fluidizes, mix, coat, dry, combine, or segregate materials. The system may comprise a vibratory mixer, mixing vessel containing a first material and a sprayer to introduce a second material. The vibratory mixer may generate a fluidized bed of a first material and the sprayer, coupled to the mixing vessel, may introduce a second material onto the fluidized bed to mix the materials in a uniform and even fashion.
Method and apparatus for linear and rotational container agitation
A linear actuator member applies a vertical force to a vessel or to a holding apparatus in which a vessel is contained. A linear to angular motion constraining member such as a cage structure having a helical track translates linearly directed force and motion applied by the linear actuator member into a combined linear and rotational motion of the vessel. The combined vertical and rotational motion of the vessel in response to the vertical force is repeatable according to a predefined agitation pattern for mixing components in the vessel.

When a stirring device 11 performs processing of stirring a mixed solution in a test tube S, a holding mechanism 13 and a movement mechanism 14 are operated so that the test tube S is moved to a position of B2. Then, in the test tube S, the cells attached to the inner surface of the test tube S and the liquid are separated. Further, the cells attached to the inner surface of the test tube S are detected by a color sensor 152. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the work for determining the end of the stirring processing by the user. As a result, the workability of the user when using the stirring device 11 can be improved.

The toroidal bioreactor vessel is rotated in an orbital motion such that there is a resonant frequency traveling wave of the fluid orbiting in one direction in the interior of the toroidal bioreactor vessel when a particular orbital speed is imparted to the toroidal bioreactor vessel.

Described herein is a mixing apparatus for mixing a non-homogenized food product contained within a container. The apparatus includes a housing including a first end wall, a second end wall, and a top wall that at least partially define a cavity of the housing. The apparatus also includes a pair of rollers extending from the first end wall to the second end wall and coupled to the housing such that each roller is rotatable relative to the housing. The apparatus also includes a motor positioned in the cavity and enclosed within the housing, the motor operatively coupled to a first roller of the pair of rollers and configured to drive the first roller to rotate for rotating the container, and a battery positioned in the cavity and enclosed within the housing, the battery operatively coupled to the motor to provide power thereto to drive the first roller.
