DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MIXING DRESSING, WHIPPING FOOD AND BEVERAGE, AND FROTHING FACIAL CLEANSER, HAIR DRESSING, DETERGENT, CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL, AND MACHINE OIL
It is an object of the present invention to provide an agitating device which can be shaken to agitate, whip, froth and disperse the liquid material content.
There is provided a device for mixing liquid material comprising: a container containing liquid material; an opening-closing member formed on the top of said container; and a coil spring accommodated in said container and having an end fixed on the upper part of said container so as to be vibrable and oscillable. The coil spring has a smaller coil pitch in its lowest part than that in its upper part.
METHOD OF DETECTING TEST SUBSTANCE, SAMPLE ANALYSIS CARTRIDGE, AND SAMPLE ANALYZER
In a method of detecting a test substance, a test substance is detected using a sample analysis cartridge supplied with a sample. The sample analysis cartridge includes: a passage part having a gas-phase space; and liquid containers communicating with the passage part through openings. The liquid containers include: a first liquid container containing a first liquid containing magnetic particles; and a second liquid container containing a second liquid containing a labeled substance. The magnetic particles are sequentially transported to the liquid containers through the gas-phase space in the passage part. Thus, the magnetic particles carry a complex of the test substance and the labeled substance. The test substance is detected based on the labeled substance in the complex.
Lids for drinking cups
An open-topped drinking cup and a lid comprising a lid cover and a mixing device for holding and mixing a condiment into a beverage held in the dinking cup. The lid cover defines a circular mounting aperture within which the mixing device is displaceably located. The mixing device includes at least two mixing elements which are connected to another so as to be telescopically displaceable relative to one another between a retracted condition and an extended condition wherein the mixing device extends into the beverage. The mixing device includes a condiment chamber which is defined within a mixing element for holding a condiment such as sugar. The mixing device further includes a mixing element which has a number of circumferentially-spaced slots through which the condiment is discharged into the beverage.
MULTI-WELL SEPARATION APPARATUS AND REAGENT DELIVERY DEVICE
Described herein are multi-well separation devices configured to allow a composition comprising a target agent to be separated into multiple wells, subdivided, recombined into a single well, and/or re-separated into the same or a different configuration of wells. Also described herein are reagent loading devices configured to simultaneously deliver one or more test agents to a plurality of volumes without having to individually deliver the test agents. Together, these devices allow high throughput parallel processes without repetitive pipetting or liquid handling robotics, though they may also be used separately. Also described herein are kits and systems for chemical or biological assays, as well as methods for using the multi-well separation devices and reagent loading devices described herein.
MIXING DEVICE FOR PROVIDING A READY-TO-USE COMPOUND, AND WORKING METHOD FOR SAME
A mixing device for preparing a ready-to-use compound comprising at least one component, which is to be mixed before use, in a cartridge with a tubular mixing rod and a working method with this mixing device and cartridge. The insertion of the cartridge in the mixing device is simplified so that the device can be operated completely automatically, and dispensing of a cartridge to be mixed or a ready-mixed cartridge is preferably be made possible with automated handling means (robots). Because the cartridge holder has a clamping means with which the cartridge can be clamped on the bottle neck-like section, the clamping of the cartridge in the mixer is simplified and can be triggered by force, for example pneumatically.
Bone cement applicator with retractable mixing rod and method for production of a bone cement
A bone cement applicator comprising a cartridge with an internal space. The cartridge has a head with a dispensing opening for expulsion of bone cement, a dispensing plunger, a receptacle mobile in the cartridge, and a mixing rod with a mixer fastened to it and arranged in the internal space of the cartridge. The mixing rod is detachably connected, on a side opposite from the mixer, to a front side of the receptacle that faces the cartridge head. When the mixing rod is detached from the receptacle and the receptacle is propelled in the direction of the cartridge head the mixing rod can be pushed into the receptacle. A method is also disclosed for production of a bone cement using the bone cement applicator.
LIDS FOR DRINKING CUPS
An open-topped drinking cup 10 and a lid 12 comprising a lid cover 14 and a mixing device 16 for holding a mixing a condiment into a beverage 44 held in the dinking cup. The lid cover defines a circular mounting aperture 22 within which the mixing device is displaceably located. The mixing device 16 includes four tubular mixing elements 32.1, 32.2, 32.3, and 32.4 which are connected to another so as to be telescopically displaceable relative to one another between a retracted condition and an extended condition wherein the mixing device extends into the beverage 44. The mixing device 16 includes a condiment holder comprising a condiment chamber 36 which is defined within the mixing element 32.1, for holding a condiment 38 such as sugar. The mixing element 32.4 has a number of circumferentially-spaced slots 42 through which the condiment 38 is discharged into the beverage 44.
