Bioreactor
Disclosed is a bioreactor, especially a plug flow bioreactor, including an agitator running along a longitudinal axis for thoroughly mixing a dry solid biomass that is to be outgassed in a fermentation chamber. In said bioreactor, an agitator shaft is mounted exclusively in two opposite end walls of the fermentation chamber while at least one free end of the agitator is connected to a drive unit outside the fermentation chamber.
Mixer for aftertreatment of exhaust gases
The invention relates to a mixer for a device for selective catalytic reduction of exhaust gases from internal combustion engines. The mixer comprises a structure of mixer elements through which the mixture of exhaust gas and reducing agent is to flow. The mixer elements have an electric current flowing through them for electrical heating due to the electrical resistance thereof. The invention further relates to a device for selective catalytic reaction of exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas pipe leading to a mixer according to the invention and having a reducing agent pipe which is connected to a reservoir for reducing agent and which opens into the exhaust gas pipe in the flow direction upstream of the mixer, and a catalyst in the flow direction downstream of the mixer.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY CONVEYING AND PLASTICIZING CHEESE CURD
A device (1) for continuously conveying and plasticising cheese curd includes a housing (2) having an elongate chamber (3) with inlet and openings (5, 6). At least one pair of oppositely-driven conveying shafts (4.1, 4.2) is arranged in the elongate chamber such the axes of rotation (18.1, 18.2) of the shafts extend in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the chamber. The conveying shafts have interleaved helical structures (19.1, 19.2) for axially conveying the cheese curd from the inlet opening to the outlet opening. A heating device (9.1, 17) heats at least part of the shaft(s) and at least part of an inner surface of the chamber. At least one entraining device is designed such that at least part of the cheese curd to be conveyed and plasticised is also transported around the two conveying shafts.
Dental irrigation device
A dental irrigation device for heating a solution and mixing solutes within the solution. The present invention utilizes an oscillator and inductive coil to heat and/or mix the solution. A pump then delivers the heated and mixed pressurized solution from a basin ultimately into a dispenser.
ULTRAFINE BUBBLE GENERATING APPARATUS, ULTRAFINE BUBBLE GENERATING METHOD, ULTRAFINE BUBBLE-CONTAINING LIQUID, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided is a UFB generating apparatus that is capable of efficiently generating a UFB-containing liquid with high purity by controlling generation of UFBs in the liquid. A UFB generating apparatus includes a driving unit that drives a heating element included in a heating unit to generate film boiling in the liquid in contact with the heating element, and a control unit that controls driving conditions of the heating element by the driving unit.
