Reactor for polymerization process
In one embodiment, a reactor includes a reactor body and a reactor head. The reactor head has a reactor head body and one or more inlets disposed tangentially to the reactor head body. In one embodiment, a polymerization process for forming polymer includes introducing in a first direction a stream including a monomer. The stream and a catalyst system are flowed in a second direction through at least one internal heat exchanger. The second direction is substantially orthogonal to the first direction. The reaction zone includes at least one internal heat exchanger. At least a portion of the monomer of the stream is polymerized in the reaction zone to produce a polymer product. The polymer product is recovered from the reaction zone.
Fluid dispersing device
A fluid disperser includes a plate body installed in a channel, having a first wall portion in a middle region of a first surface facing the upstream side, and provided with a plurality of holes allowing a fluid to flow in from the upstream side to the downstream side, and a second wall portion provided on the first surface and having an inner surface intersecting with a line extending from the middle region to a circumferential edge of the first surface.
STRIPPER WITH BOTTOM CHAMBER
A bottom chamber of a stripper (or bottom liquid holder) including a vortex breaker, a blocking plate and a guiding plate. A stripper, a urea HP stripper, a urea plant, a method for operating a stripper and a method for producing a solid, particulate urea-based composition.
Reactor for pyrolysis conversion of hydrocarbon gases
A pyrolysis reactor (12) and method for the pyrolysis of hydrocarbon gases (e.g., methane) utilizes a pyrolysis reactor (12) having a unique burner assembly (44) and pyrolysis feed assembly (56) that creates an inwardly spiraling fluid flow pattern of the feed gases to form a swirling gas mixture that passes through a burner conduit (46) with a constricted neck portion or nozzle (52). At least a portion of the swirling gas mixture forms a thin, annular mixed gas flow layer immediately adjacent to the burner conduit (46). A portion of the swirling gas mixture is combusted as the swirling gas mixture passes through the burner conduit (46) and a portion of combustion products circulates in the burner assembly (44). This provides conditions suitable for pyrolysis of hydrocarbons or light alkane gas, such as methane or natural gas.
Method for installing a thermocouple inside a reactor tube filled with catalyst
A method of installing a temperature measuring device inside a reactor tube while filling the tube with catalyst is provided. The method includes inserting a positioning system, including a single inflatable bladder connected at a central location to a centering ring, into a reactor tube, the reactor tube comprising a distal end and a proximal end. Then inserting the centering ring around the temperature measurement device. Then locating the positioning system at a first predetermined distance from the distal end, and inflating the single inflatable bladder, thereby centering the centering ring and the temperature measurement device within the SMR tube. Then introducing catalyst into the SMR tube, thereby enclosing the temperature measurement device in catalyst.
Apparatus for installing a thermocouple inside a reactor tube filled with catalyst
A device for centering a temperature measurement device inside a reactor tube that will be filled with catalyst, including multiple inflatable bladders mechanically and fluidically attached to a centering ring.

INHERENTLY SAFE OXYGEN/HYDROCARBON GAS MIXER
A method of safely mixing a hydrocarbon with an oxidant is provided. The hydrocarbon and oxidant are saturated with a non-flammable liquid in pre-mix zones that are flooded with the non-flammable liquid and fluidly connected to a common mixing zone that is partially flooded with the non-flammable liquid. The saturated hydrocarbon and oxidant combine within the common mixing zone forming bubbles of a homogeneous gas mixture of hydrocarbon and oxidant, preferably in a ratio of hydrocarbon to oxidant that is outside of the flammability limit, that can exit the non-flammable liquid into a headspace where it can be retrieved for use in an oxidative reaction process such as oxidative dehydrogenation.
