Adsorption structure, adsorption structure unit, and method for manufacturing same
An adsorption structure unit prevents water leakage from an adsorption structure and improves the durability of the adsorption structure and the durability of the adsorption structure unit. An adsorption structure has a filter portion having a plurality of flow paths divided by a plurality of partition walls and a plugged portion shutting a feed water inflow or outflow end of the plurality of flow paths, a water-impermeable outer tube accommodating the filter portion, and a seal material blocking a gap between the filter portion and the outer tube in at least one end portion of the filter portion. An adsorption structure unit has the adsorption structure, a housing supplying feed water from one end of the adsorption structure, and discharging the feed water from the other end, and a ring member disposed between end portions on both sides of the outer tube and an inner surface of the housing.
Porous fiber, adsorbent material, and purification column
A solid fiber is described, where the solid fiber is characterized by (a) a modification degree Do/Di, in a cross section of the solid fiber of 1.20 to 8.50 where the inscribed circle diameter is denoted by Di and the circumscribed circle diameter is denoted by Do; and (b) a porous specific surface area of not less than 30 m.sup.2/g.
Adsorption based gas separation method
An adsorbent bed, including at least one elementary composite structure that includes adsorbent particles in a polymer matrix, wherein the adsorbent bed has a bed packing, ρ.sub.bed, defined as a volume occupied by the at least one elementary composite structure V.sub.ecs divided by a volume of the adsorbent bed V.sub.bed where ρ.sub.bed is greater than 0.60.
Columns and methods of use for analytical standards and compounds
This invention employs columns and methods to apply external and internal standards and compounds. Analytical standard or compounds are adsorbed to a solid phase extraction media and are stored indefinitely. The standards or compounds remain stable on the solid phase extraction media without decomposing. The standards or compounds may be removed from the solid phase extraction media with a solvent.
Method and System for Treating and/or Purifying Water
The invention relates to a method for preferably continuous treatment and/or purifying of water encumbered by contaminants, in particular organic contaminants, preferably micropollutants and/or trace substances, in particular untreated water, preferably for purposes of producing and/or obtaining treated and/or purified water, in particular pure water, preferably drinking water and/or service water. The invention further relates to a water treatment system for carrying out said method and to applications thereof.
SEPARATION MATERIAL
The present invention provides a separation material that comprises porous polymer particles comprising a styrene-based monomer as a monomer unit; and a coating layer comprising a macromolecule having hydroxyl groups, which covers at least a portion of the surface of the porous polymer particles, and the separation material has a 5% compressive deformation modulus of 100 to 1,000 MPa, and has a mode diameter in the pore size distribution of 0.1 to 0.5 μm.
