Heat sealing-type rotational laminated core manufacturing apparatus
An apparatus for manufacturing a heat sealing-type rotational laminated core, includes an upper mold and a lower mold, and forming and stacking individual laminar members, the individual laminar members being formed by having a strip which is sequentially transferred on the upper portion of the lower mold undergone a piercing process and a blanking process by punches mounted on the upper mold.
A METHANE OXIDATION CATALYST AND A METHOD OF MAKING AND USING THEREOF
A sulfur-resistant, high activity methane oxidation catalyst for use in removing methane from gas streams having a concentration of methane by oxidizing the methane. The methane oxidation catalyst is especially useful in processing gas streams that also have a concentration of a sulfur compound. The sulfur-resistant methane oxidation catalyst includes a unique multi-crystalline zirconia as a support for a platinum component and a ruthenium component. The multi-crystalline zirconia contributes to the excellent properties of the catalyst. The platinum and ruthenium components can be included in the methane oxidation catalyst in a specific weight ratio that also contributes to the enhanced properties of the catalyst. The sulfur-resistant methane oxidation catalyst may also include a chloride component that contributes to enhanced properties of the catalyst.
Catalyst for producing aliphatic ketones from fermented product of biomass, and method for producing same
The present disclosure discloses: a bifunctional Cu/Ce—Zr-based catalyst suitable for reacting a ketone and alcohol which are contained in a fermented product of biomass and have a low molecular weight, and converting same into an aliphatic ketone having an increased carbon number; a method for producing the catalyst; and a method for producing a fuel-range aliphatic ketone, such as gasoline and air fuel, by using the catalyst.
Production of ethylene with nanowire catalysts
Methods for producing ethylene using nanowires as heterogeneous catalysts are provided. The method includes, for example, an oxidative coupling of methane catalyzed by nanowires to provide ethylene.
Method for producing 2-furaldehyde
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for suppressing the corrosion of a reactor and reducing waste in the production of 2-furaldehyde from a sugar raw material containing a hexose as a constituent component, and another object of the invention is to provide an industrially advantageous method for producing 2-furaldehyde, which suppresses a decrease in the activity of a catalyst in a case of using an acid catalyst and provides a higher yield. The present invention relates to a method for producing 2-furaldehyde comprising heating a sugar raw material containing a hexose as a constituent component in an aprotic polar solvent in the presence of a solid acid catalyst.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST
An exhaust gas purification catalyst includes: a first catalyst unit that consists of a hydrogen generating catalyst including a noble metal and an oxide that contains lanthanum, zirconium and an additional element such as neodymium; a second catalyst unit that consists of an oxygen storage/release material and a perovskite oxide disposed in contact with the oxygen storage/release material and represented by the general formula La.sub.xM1.sub.1-xM2O.sub.3-δ, where La is lanthanum, M1 is at least one element selected from the group consisting of barium (Ba), strontium (Sr) and calcium (Ca), M2 is at least one element selected from the group consisting of iron (Fe), cobalt (Co) and manganese (Mn), x satisfies 0<x≦1, and δ satisfies 0≦δ≦1; and a holding material that holds the first catalyst unit and the second catalyst unit in a mutually separated state.
Syngas conversion to a light alkene and related methods
Methods of producing a light alkene. The method comprises contacting syngas and tungstated zirconia to produce a product stream comprising at least one light alkene. The product stream is recovered. Methods of converting syngas to a light alkene are also disclosed. The method comprises heating a precursor of tungstated zirconia to a temperature of between about 350° C. and about 550° C. to form tungstated zirconia. Syngas is flowed over the tungstated zirconia to produce a product stream comprising at least one light alkene and the product stream comprising the at least one light alkene is recovered.
PISTON WITH ADVANCED CATALYTIC ENERGY RELEASE
A piston capable of reducing undesirable “knock,” reducing hydrocarbon emissions, and providing more complete combustion, is provided. The piston includes a multilayer coating having a thickness of 500 microns or less disposed on an upper combustion surface. The coating includes a bond layer including nickel disposed on the upper combustion surface. A thermal barrier layer including a ceramic composition is disposed on the bond layer. A sealant layer formed of metal is disposed on the thermal barrier layer. A catalytic layer including at least one of platinum, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, and iridium is disposed on the sealant layer. The catalytic layer can be disposed on select regions or the entire upper combustion surface to promote combustion through a catalyzed reaction.
