Wireless communication between patient beds and equipment for checking compatibility
A system comprises a patient bed having a reader to read wireless signals. In some embodiments a wound dressing has a transmitter that transmits wireless signals to the reader of the patient bed. In other embodiments, a garment has a transmitter that transmits wireless signals to the reader of the patient bed. In still further embodiments, other medical equipment has a transmitter that transmits wireless signals to the reader of the patient bed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TREATMENT USING A UNIVERSAL CAGE APPARATUS
A system and a method of treatment using a universal cage creating a coordinate method of exercise. Physical therapy or fitness exercises are provided to a patient through a system of cords, blocks and belts disposed on a plurality of grid panels through a plurality of mounting devices. Placement of the mounting devices on the grid panel is determined by which muscle groups are receiving therapy and the type of movement required. Once the placement for each movement is determined, the coordinates of the mounting device are captured so that the mounting devices can be preset consistently for each therapy session.
Apparatus for Wireless Power Transmission Between an External Power Source and an Electric Mobility Vehicle
Disclosed is an apparatus for wireless power transmission between an external power source and an electric mobility vehicle.
Equipment, dressing, and garment wireless connectivity to a patient bed
A system comprises a patient bed having a reader to read wireless signals. In some embodiments a wound dressing has a transmitter that transmits wireless signals to the reader of the patient bed. In other embodiments, a garment has a transmitter that transmits wireless signals to the reader of the patient bed. In still further embodiments, other medical equipment has a transmitter that transmits wireless signals to the reader of the patient bed.
SUBJECT SUPPORT SLINGS INCLUDING VISUAL INDICATORS FOR COUPLING TO LIFT MECHANISMS
A subject support system includes a sling, a clamp, and a strap coupled to the clamp. The sling includes an outer perimeter extending around and defining a support region of the sling and a visual indicator positioned along the outer perimeter of the sling. The clamp is selectively coupled to the visual indicator. The clamp is repositionable between a closed position, in which the clamp is engaged with the visual indicator, and an open position, in which the clamp is disengaged from the visual indicator. The strap coupled to the clap is configured to couple the clamp to a lift mechanism.
PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUS HAVING URINARY DRAINAGE BAG LOCKOUT FEATURE
A patient support apparatus includes an upper frame that is movable to raise and lower relative to a base frame frame. A mattress support deck is coupled to the upper frame and includes a foot deck section. The foot deck section is movable with respect to the rest of the mattress support deck to raise and lower. A drainage bag support is coupled to the foot deck section and is configured to support a drainage bag. Control circuitry controls movement of the upper frame and the foot deck section. The control circuitry has a lockout mode to limit the movement of the upper frame and foot deck section to prevent the drainage bag from touching a floor.
SUPPORT APPARATUSES COMPRISING COOLING ELEMENTS
A support apparatus configured to support a person is provided. The support apparatus includes a top surface including one or more predetermined areas, one or more conduits located inside the support apparatus which are located proximate to the one or more predetermined areas, and an air supply configured to provide air to the one or more conduits for delivering to the one or more predetermined areas. The air supply includes a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the air provided by the air supply, a cooling element, and a controller communicatively coupled to the temperature sensor and the cooling element. The controller determines whether the measured temperature of the air is higher than a predetermined temperature, and controls the cooling element to cool the air to the predetermined temperature if it is determined that the temperature of the air is higher than the predetermined temperature.
Telescoping Stretcher
The present invention is a Telescoping Litter/Portable Collapsing Stretcher idea, The stretcher would be collapse-able and telescope down into a smaller size when not in use. The stretcher has three main components. An internal support structure capable of telescoping into itself or collapsing onto itself, and with the ability to be locked and unlocked as needed. A removable outer shells or panels. A set of spider straps used to secure the patient to the stretcher. It would have hand holds and can be used with straps to hold a patient in place.
System comprising a time indicator
The present invention relates to a time indicator to repeatedly monitor lapsed time after a preceding event or remaining time up to a subsequent event relative to a maximum period between the preceding event and the subsequent event, comprising: a display configured to output an indication of lapsed or remaining time of the maximum period; a controller connected to the display and configured: to monitor time; to accept an indication of an occurrence of the subsequent event; to reset the lapsed or remaining time relative to the maximum period upon occurrence of the subsequent event; and to drive the display to output the reset lapsed or remaining time relative to the maximum period.
