SURGICAL SUPPORT SYSTEM
A surgical table extension comprises a frame and a connector. The frame includes a surgical table connecting portion, a first connector, and a second connector. A connector enabler is movably coupled to the frame and is configured to selectively enable one of the first connector and the second connector to be removably coupled with a support device.
EQUIPMENT, DRESSING, AND GARMENT WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY TO A PATIENT BED
A system comprises a patient bed having a reader to read wireless signals. In some embodiments a wound dressing has a transmitter that transmits wireless signals to the reader of the patient bed. In other embodiments, a garment has a transmitter that transmits wireless signals to the reader of the patient bed. In still further embodiments, other medical equipment has a transmitter that transmits wireless signals to the reader of the patient bed.

PATIENT LIFT SYSTEM WITH COMPONENT COMPATIBILITY FEATURES
Patient lift systems and lift accessories for the same are disclosed. In one example, a system may include a rail having a carriage support channel formed in the rail, the channel having a width, the rail has a working load rating; a carriage slidably disposed in the rail for relative movement to the rail, the carriage comprising a shaft having a length; and a lift unit coupled to the carriage and operable to raise and lower a lifting strap, wherein the lift unit has a working load rating; wherein the length of the shaft of the carriage is less than the width of the channel when the working load rating of the lift unit is equal to or less than the working load rating of the rail. In this manner, lift units that are incompatible with the working load rating of the rail cannot be connected with the rail.
SURGICAL TABLE MONITORING AND ALERTING SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates generally to improving surgery safety, and more specifically to techniques for monitoring the position of patients on surgical tables. An exemplary computer-implemented method for outputting warnings related to a patient on a surgical table during a surgical procedure comprises: determining a configuration of the surgical table; determining, based on the configuration of the surgical table, that the patient is in an at-risk position; initiating a timer to track an elapsed time period during which the patient is in the at-risk position; determining that the elapsed time period exceeds a predefined time threshold; and outputting a warning related to the patient on the surgical table.
Bed interface for manual location
A graphical user interface (GUI) of a patient bed is used by a caregiver to manually enter location data indicative of a location in a healthcare facility at which the patient bed is located. A first screen for manually entering location data is displayed on the GUI after a threshold period of time elapses subsequent to a power plug of the patient bed being plugged into an alternating current (AC) outlet of the healthcare facility and subsequent to casters of the patient bed being braked. A voice prompt is also given from the patient bed after the threshold period of time elapses to remind the caregiver to manually enter the location data. After manual entry of the location data, circuitry of the patient bed transmits the location data entered by the caregiver and a bed identification (ID) from the bed for receipt by a remote computer for purposes of making a bed-to-room association.

Electro-mechanical controller to support air-pressure-based patient positioning
A controller for positioning a patient utilizing an inflatable device is provided. The inflatable device may include three independently inflatable chambers. The controller may include first, second, and third pressure output ports; first, second, and third pressure sensors; a plurality of electro-mechanical switches; an electronic user interface; an computer; a pressurized air input port; and an atmospheric air port. The plurality of electro-mechanical switches may be configured to independently control air flow through the first, second, and third pressure output ports. The first, second, and third pressure sensors may be configured to measure pressure internal to the first, second, and third pressure output ports, respectively. The computer may be configured to receive first, second, and third pressure signals from each of the first, second, and third pressure sensors, respectively; to control each of the plurality of electro-mechanical switches; and communication with the user through the electronic user interface.
SLING FASTENERS FOR SECURE STORAGE
A sling for supporting a subject is disclosed herein. The sling includes a body, one or more loops extending from the body, a first fastener coupled to a first portion of the body, and a second fastener coupled to a second portion of the body. The first fastener and the second fastener cooperate to enclose the one or more loops by selectively securing the first portion of the body to the second portion of the body in a folded configuration.
