The base panel includes a header end and an opposite footer end, and further includes a support mat resting on the base panel between the header and footer ends. The stretcher further includes a stability strap coupled to the base panel and fixedly attached to the rear surface of the support mat, the stability strap operable to retain the support mat in position against the flexible panel during use. The rescue stretcher may further include a pair of shoulder straps and leg straps fixedly coupled to the support mat for securing the person to the base panel. A securement strap may be coupled to the base panel and extend across the flexible base panel to help prevent the injured person from rolling off the sides of the stretcher.

The present disclosure provides a patient transporting device having a docking member at one end of the patient transporting device that allows to attach to and detach from a receiving portion of the patient loading systems in an emergency vehicle. The device includes a moveable base member that a patient lies down on, a pathway member for the base member to slidably move along tracks of the pathway member, and a docking member at one end of the pathway member that fits and mates with the receiving portion of the vehicle. In operation, the docking member docks with the receiving portion and establishes an extended bridge formed of the pathway member and the docking member of the device and the receiving portion of the vehicle. The extended bridge has a substantially coplanar surface so that the patient lying down on the base member may be easily loaded to the vehicle.

A transport chair of this disclosure includes a frame having a pair of fixed sides and hinged sides, the frame moveable between stowed and deployed states. The frame includes wheel receiving means and armrest and push handle assemblies receiving means with quick connect-disconnect clamps or pins. A bar, which is connectable to, and detachable from, each hinge extends between the pair of hinged sides. When connected to the hinged sides, the bar locks the frame in the deployed state and prevents the frame from moving to the stowed state. The chair may be quickly assembled and then dissembled for storage without the need for tools. When dissembled, the transport chair fits within an within an envelope 9 inches deep×14 inches wide×22 inches long.

The enclosed patient suite may be dimensioned to fit within the aircraft.
