The present invention relates to an apparatus for treating mixed waste, for example, an apparatus for degrading bioplastic material in the mixed waste. The apparatus includes an electromagnetic wave emitter adapted to emit an electromagnetic wave on to the mixed waste; a movement inducing device adapted to move the mixed waste when the electromagnetic wave is being emitted onto the mixed waste such that the mixed waste is moved to increase the exposure of the mixed waste to the electromagnetic wave; and at least one of a heat emitter adapted to emit heat and a moisture emitter adapted to emit moisture onto the mixed waste. The present invention further relates to a method of treating mixed waste.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING AND TREATING A GAS STREAM THROUGH AN AUTOMATICALLY CONTROLLED VOLUME OF LIQUID
The device for producing and treating a gas stream (F) includes an exchange enclosure (2) having at least a first discharge opening (2b) for a gas stream, means (3; 4) for supplying the enclosure with a liquid (L), means (3; 5) for discharging the liquid (L) contained in the exchange enclosure (2) and aeraulic means (6), which make it possible, during operation, to create, by means of suction or blowing, an incoming gas stream (F) coming from outside the exchange enclosure (2), so that said incoming gas stream (F) is introduced into the volume of liquid (V) contained in the exchange enclosure (2), and an outgoing gas stream (F), treated by direct contact with said volume of liquid, rises inside the exchange enclosure and is discharged out of the exchange enclosure (2) through the discharge opening (2b).
POLYMERIZATION APPARATUS
A polymerization apparatus for performing anionic polymerization includes: a raw material container that contains a raw material; a reaction container that is connected to the raw material container via a raw material supply pipe and causes anionic polymerization of the raw material supplied; and a switching valve that is provided in the raw material supply pipe and opens and closes the raw material supply pipe, and the raw material supply pipe includes a joint portion sealed by using a metal gasket, and the switching valve is a gas valve.
System for Making and Using a Composition of Matter
A system for making and using a ground product that includes one or more of: a reactor operated to react a guar split with a reagent at a reaction temperature in a range of 120 F. to 180 F. to form a guar derivative, and a treatment and transfer section for optionally treating the guar derivative and transferring the guar derivative to a co-grinder. The co-grinder is operably associated with a heated vacuum system and is operated to co-grind an acid with the guar derivative to form a ground product.
Method for the degrading of synthetic polymers and device for carrying out said method
A method for breaking down synthetic polymers, in particular polyolefins, is provided. In addition a system for carrying out said method and a product according to said method is provided.
APPARATUS FOR AND PROCESS OF MAKING PSEUDOIONONE AND HYDROXY PSEUDOIONONE
The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for producing pseudoionone and hydroxy pseudoionone. It suggests an apparatus (1) comprising first and second substantially vertically oriented reactor chambers oriented such that components flow through the first and second reactor chambers in different directions, wherein the first reactor chamber (13) is configured to receive a first component feed (C1) containing a first aqueous mixture through an inlet (15), and to produce a second aqueous mixture, and wherein the apparatus (1) comprises a mixing device (17) positioned downstream of the first component feed inlet (15) and configured to add a second component feed (C2) to the first component feed (C1) when the second aqueous mixture has formed, and the second reactor chamber (23) is configured to receive the first and second component feeds unified in the mixing device (17) from the first reactor chamber (13) and to produce a third aqueous mixture from the first and second aqueous mixtures. The invention further suggests a method and a use for producing pseudoionone and hydroxy pseudoionone.
System and method for preparing alkali metal salt emulsifying agents
A system and method combine a first reactant with a second reactant to create a reaction product. A first pump is in fluid communication with a reaction vessel and a source of the first reactant. A second pump is in fluid communication with the reaction vessel and a source of the second reactant. A gas sparger is located in the reaction vessel, and the gas sparger is in fluid communication with a gas source for providing gas to the reaction vessel. A controller is configured to execute a program stored in the controller to: (i) receive a sensor signal based on a force exerted by the reaction vessel in a direction toward the sensor, and (ii) operate the first pump and the second pump to deliver to the reaction vessel the first reactant and the second reactant thereby causing a reaction that creates the reaction product.
Valve with pressure seal protection
Disclosed is a valve for use in particulate material processing. The valve has a rotatable closure member having a convex sealing surface and a resilient sealing ring moveable between a first configuration in which the sealing ring forms a seal around a circumference of the convex sealing surface; and a second position in which a circumferential gap is defined between the convex sealing surface and the sealing ring. The valve body defines a fluid-directing surface extending around the fluid passage between the inlet and the sealing ring to define an annular clearance which tapers towards the sealing ring and becomes narrower than the annular gap. When there is a pressure drop across the valve and before the closure member is moved to fully open the valve, material flowing through the valve experiences a dynamic pressure rise towards the circumferential gap, decreasing flow velocity and wear.
Method for controlling lingerature of chemical reaction
A method for controlling lingerature of a chemical reaction. Changes in mass of a chemical reaction are monitored and are used to calculate a lingerature of the system. The reaction can be maintained at a desired lingerature (?) by selective addition or removal of heat or by adjusting the surface area the reactants are exposed to during the reaction. The disclosed method is useful for reactions that occur at non-equilibrium conditions where any measured lingerature would presume steady-state conditions.
