Walking training apparatus and state determination method
A walking training apparatus 1 includes a leg robot 2 attached to a leg of a walking trainee, a motor 261 configured to rotationally drive a knee joint 22 of the leg robot 2, a control unit 332 configured to control the motor 261 so that the motor 261 rotationally drives the knee joint 22 in a leg-idling period in a gait motion of the walking trainee, a motor torque detection unit 262 configured to detect a motor torque, the motor torque being a torque generated by the motor 261, and a determination unit 333 configured to determine whether or not the walking trainee is in a spasticity state or a rigidity state by using a value of the motor torque detected in the leg-idling period by the motor torque detection unit 262.
Exercise apparatus and method of use
Disclosed are handicap apparatus using (a) one or more resilient, snap-on bumper structures, (b) unique tips covers, (c) leg elevating units, (d) resilient structures having a density that provides a softer exterior and a harder interior. The handicap apparatus includes crutches, canes, wheelchairs, scooters, and walkers.
DISPLAY DEVICE FOR A WALKER
A display device for a walker is disclosed which has a panel having a front surface, a back surface, a left side, a right side, an upper side, a lower side, and printed matter printed on the front surface, a first left side attachment device and a second left side attachment device each extending out from the left side of the panel, a first right side attachment device and a second right side attachment device each extending out from the right side of the panel, an upper attachment device extending out from the upper side, a lower attachment device extending out from the lower side, and a back attachment device extending out from the back surface.
SOFT INFLATABLE EXOSUIT FOR KNEE REHABILITATION
A soft-inflatable exosuit for knee rehabilitation is fabricated in two different beam-like structures (I and O cross-section actuators) and mechanically characterized for their torque performance in knee-extension assistance. The fabrication procedure of both types of actuators is presented as well as their integration into a light-weight, low-cost and body-conforming interface. To detect the activation duration of the device during the gait cycle, a soft-silicone insole with embedded force-sensitive resistors (FSRs) is used. In evaluation studies, the soft inflatable exosuit device is tested for its ability to reduce muscle activity during the swing phase of the knee. Using sEMG (surface electromyography) sensors, the rectus femoris muscle group of a healthy individual is recorded while walking on a treadmill at a constant speed, with and without the soft device.
Display device for a walker
A display device for a walker is disclosed which has a panel having a front side, a back side, a left side edge, a right side edge, a top side edge, and a bottom side edge, an interior pocket formed between the front side and the back side, a series of grommets positioned along the left side edge of the panel, a series of grommets positioned along the right side edge of the panel, and a closure device positioned along the top side edge.
Knee stair climber
The present invention provides an apparatus designed to assist users in ascending or descending stairs. The system preferably includes an apparatus with a handle, a horizontal top surface, side walls, front and rear vertical surface, two horizontal bottom surfaces, and a vertical face between the horizontal bottom surfaces.
TRAINING A PATIENT IN MOVING AND WALKING
Disclosed are apparatuses and methods for training a patient in moving, by executing a session program comprising a plurality of exercises and the order by which the exercises are to be practiced by the patient. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive results of measurements made during an early stage of training according to the session program, said measurements being indicative of parameters characterizing the moving of the patient; and execute a later stage of the session program based on the results received during the early stage of the training.
EVALUATION APPARATUS AND EVALUATION METHOD
The present disclosure aims to provide an evaluation apparatus and an evaluation method capable of evaluating a walking assistance apparatus by simulating an actual person's walking motion. An evaluation apparatus 1 includes a placement part 5 on which a sole part of a walking assistance apparatus 4 to be evaluated is placed; an actuator 3 configured to apply a load to the walking assistance apparatus 4 in a direction of the placement part 5 in a state in which the sole part faces the placement part 5; and an actuator 6 configured to change a relative positional relation between the placement part 5 and the sole part.
Combination crutch and knee walker device
A combination crutch and knee walker device converts between a rolling knee walker configuration and a crutch configuration through a single folding or expanding articulation that requires no tools or skillset. The device includes a first support bar that forms the primary lever of support. A second support bar pivotally joins the first support bar at a hinged junction, generally three-quarters down from the top of the first support bar. The support bars fold and expand about the hinged junction to convert between crutch and knee walker. A panel hingedly joins at the hinged junction serving as a supportive platform for an upper body, such as the arm or the knee, depending on the crutch or knee walker configuration. Further, the mobility function, such as rolling rollers, will restrict or free rotation depending on the selected configuration of the device.
