COLLAPSIBLE UPRIGHT WHEELED WALKER APPARATUS
A collapsible upright wheeled walker with adjustable armrests that support sufficient user upper-body weight to facilitate a natural upright gait and provide unassisted mobility for a wide range of mobility-impaired individuals. The apparatus may be easily and quickly folded (and unfolded) and may include bilateral stabilizing wheel suspensions to facilitate navigation over uneven terrain. The apparatus includes a frame-stiffening folder assembly and may also include mechanical brakes, an adjustable upper armrest assembly with removable padded forearm supports and two pairs of handles, at least one of which is disposed sufficiently forward to place the user within the polygonal footprint defined by the front and rear wheels to provide support without leaning, stooping, or risking falls.
Medical walker
A medical walker apparatus and a method for using the medical walker. Embodiments of the medical walker include a wheeled frame and a compromised limb gait system attached to the wheeled frame, where the compromised limb gait system is configured to guide a limb of a user through a simulated gait motion. In aspects, the medical walker gives an amputee patient mobility by providing a leg brace support for the compromised limb with a flexible connection to the walker that guides the compromised limb through a biomechanically proper walking motion, thus allowing the compromised limb to be exercised.
Crutch
A crutch includes an arm rest having an elbow end and a front end, the front end defining a front face having a first opening formed therein, and a bottom edge forming a second opening. The crutch has a handle extending outwardly from the front end of the arm rest, but not from the first or second openings. A leg is received into one of the first and second openings in a first configuration, and into the other of the first and second openings in a second configuration. The leg is selectively convertible between the first and second configuration.
Retractable walker
A retractable walker is disclosed, including left armrest component, a right armrest component, a seat, two front support members, and two rear support members. The left armrest component and the right armrest component are configured to be disposed at left and right and connected to each other in a left and right retractable adjustment. The seat includes a horizontal support frame and a seat plate, the horizontal support frame has a left and right retractable structure, and left and right ends of the horizontal support frame are configured to be mounted to the left armrest component and the right armrest component for connection respectively. The retractable walker can be retracted to adjust sizes, thereby applicable to different tall and short, fat and thin populations, which can greatly improve versatility of this product, more convenient to use.
Wheeled Walker with a Moveable Seat
A collapsible wheeled walker with two side frames and two height adjustable upper body supports. The apparatus includes a seat that is slidably attached to the two side frames and is movable between a front position to facilitate an ample walking space inside the frames and a rear position for a user to sit. The apparatus may include an X-folder that facilitates collapsing the walker to a small footprint for storage and transportation. It may also include a left forearm gutter and a right forearm gutter as part of the upper body supports that give the user an upright walking posture for health benefits.
Orthotic device
An orthotic device for assisting a user in walking includes an underarm support assembly configured to support a user's weight without damage to their nerves, and upright support pivotally connected to the underarm support assembly and a ground engaging assembly pivotally connected to the upright support. In one embodiment, the underarm support assembly is spring biased relative to the upright support to bias the upright support to an orientation substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal dimension of the underarm support. The ground engaging assembly is also biased to bias the ground engaging assembly to a position perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the upright support while allowing the ground engaging assembly to pivot about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal dimension of the upright support and about an axis parallel to the longitudinal dimension of the upright support.
MOBILE WEIGHT-BEARING POWERED ORTHOSIS DEVICE
A mobile, modular and adjustable system for rehabilitation and/or mobility. The system comprises an outer frame and wheels. A pelvis support can be used for distributing weight of the user to the frame. A lower body attachment is movably attached to the outer frame. At least one motorized unit may also be provided, which comprises at least one actuator to assist movement of the user's hip and/or leg through the lower body attachment. A local and/or cloud-based artificial intelligence system can be used for controlling the function of the mobile system.
Reclined Crutch
A reclined forearm crutch includes a leg; and a cradle attached to the leg for supporting the forearm and elbow of a use. The cradle has a bounding surface area corresponding to at least 20 in.sup.2. The cradle is angled about 5 to about 50 degrees relative to vertical.
Ergonomic Crutch
Medical devices used to assist walking by helping to support a user's weight comprise a series of elements angled with respect to each other at angles selected to honor certain normal anatomical relationships so as to provide a stable platform for supporting a user's weight while reducing injury. Optional additional elements provide cushioning and stability.
WRAP AROUND WALKING AID
A walking aid that assists a user in walking in an upright position. The walking aid may include a rear lower frame structure, a front lower frame structure, a first front wheel coupled to a first front lower frame member, a second front wheel coupled to a second front lower frame member, a first rear wheel coupled to the first rear lower frame member, a second rear wheel coupled to the second rear lower frame member, an upper frame structure comprising a first upper frame member, a second upper frame member, a first forearm support, and a second forearm support, a first pivot and latch mechanism pivotally coupling the first upper frame member and the first rear lower frame member together, and a second pivot and latch mechanism pivotally coupling the second upper frame member and the second rear lower frame member together.
