A system for mechanical stimulation of nasal tissues of a patient comprises a catheter assembly connected to a fluid flow generator. The catheter assembly comprises a generally oblong inflatable catheter defining at least one catheter volume and the catheter is configured to assume a shape suitable for insertion into a nasal cavity and to assume a shape suitable for stimulating a nasal tissue. The catheter assembly also comprises a tube part comprising at least one lumen configured to establish fluid flow connection between said fluid flow generator and catheter. Preferably, the catheter assembly comprises at least one vent for releasing fluid or permitting fluid to escape from the generated fluid flow. The fluid flow generator of previous aspects of the invention is configured to generate at least one of a smooth continuous flow, an oscillating flow and a pulsating flow.

AIR PULSE GENERATOR

An airway clearance therapy system includes a blower and an air pulse generator coupled to the blower. The air pulse generator includes a casing defining a chamber, first and second pistons disposed within the chamber, and a connector assembly coupled to the first and second pistons. A first connecting rod is coupled to the first piston, and a second connecting rod is coupled to the second piston. The air pulse generator also includes dampening pads disposed between the connector assembly and each of the first and second pistons. A motor assembly is operably coupled to the connector assembly. The connector assembly translates rotational motion from the motor assembly to linear motion of the first and second pistons to generate air pulses. A dampener is disposed between the motor assembly and the casing to reduce vibrations transferred between the motor assembly and the casing.

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL SHOWER HEAD ATTACHMENT DEVICE WITH SUCTION AND PRESSURE CAPABILITY

A multi-functional shower head attachment device with suction and pressure capabilities enables users to induce a pressurized flow of liquid, or suction with handheld device selectively removably couplable to a conventional shower head. The device includes a housing containing a fluid transport network that is selectively manipulated along a valve translation path to selectively induce a negative pressure vacuum, and a pressurized discharge of fluid. The vacuum is generated as the pressurized fluid is diverted through a configuration of conduits, past a venturi channel and through a secondary exit port; thereby creating the vacuum through adjacent, fluidly coupled conduits. The pressurized fluid discharge is generated as the incoming pressurized fluid is diverted directly through a series of conduits to an exit port. The housing is coupled to a handheld suction and pressure housing assembly through which the user washes, removes acne/oils, etc., with both suction and pressurized fluid discharge.

Methods, systems and devices for reducing anxiety, including increasing relaxation and/or calm. In some variations these methods may include reducing anxiety, increase relaxation and/or calm by non-invasive temperature regulation of the frontal cortex prior to and/or during sleep. The subject may have an anxiety disorder, or may not have a diagnosed anxiety disorder.

Portable oscillating compression system

A portable oscillating compression system including an for compressing air; an accumulator tank for receiving and storing the compressed air from the air compressor; an air pressure adjustment module for modulating pressure of the compressed air when the compressed air exits the accumulator tank; a valve body assembly attached to the accumulator tank, a plurality of inflatable cuffs connected to the valve body assemble for receiving the compressed air from the valve body assembly; a controller for controlling the valve body assembly; a power supply; and a housing for containing said system.

Air vest

An air vest for supplying successive percussive forces to a patient during a therapy session is described. The air vest includes an air bladder and at least one belt for securing the vest to a patient, with the vest adapted to engage at least a portion of the thoracic region of the patient. The vest may define an inner surface, an outer surface, and one or more extension portions for controlling movement of the inner and outer surfaces relative to each other along at least a portion of the vest. Securement and fitting of the vest to the patient may be achieved with a plurality of releasable straps.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING BLOOD CIRCULATION

Embodiments of the invention include a method and a device for increasing blood flow and controlling the temperature of a mammal by applying a desired pressure to extremities of a mammal. The device generally includes a pliant body element that is adapted to receive a portion of an extremity of the mammal therein, and then apply a pressure to a portion of the extremity when a pressure is provided to a region in which the extremity is positioned within the pliant body element. By evacuating the region in which the extremity is enclosed, a contact surface area between the extremity of a mammal and the pliant body element is increased, due to the external atmospheric pressure acting on the pliant body element against the skin of the extremity of the mammal. The application of pressure assures that sufficient contact and thermal heat transfer (heating or cooling) is provided to the extremity of the mammal.
