Slug bar for tub grinders
A tub grinder has a rotor with hammers that pass between adjacent slug bars. The slug bars have a riser bar portion disposed on the top of the slug bars, the riser bar portions extending vertically higher on one end of each respective slug bar than on the other end of each respective slug bar so that the hammers extend farther beyond the top of the riser bar and slug bar when they pass by first end than when they pass by the second end of the riser bar.

Multi-Blade Hammer Assembly
A hammer assembly that will mount in a grinder/shredder/hammer mill type machine. A tool holder is milled with dovetail/angular slots along each side of the hammer tool holder, which allows milled blade to slide in to place and be securely held in position. The simple milled slot located in the middle of each blade that allows a single mounting block/bolt to securely hold each blade in position. This results in the ability to rotate and/or interchange blades. The tool holder allows single or multiple blade/hammer inserts to be installed without having to remove a hammer pin, so the tool holder stays in the machine, and the blades can be easily removed. This arrangement allows the tool holder to stay in place, and enables the simple removal of a single bolt and retention block and then flip or rotate the hammer to get additional wear surfaces or install new blades.

Comminution Machine Having Stationary Anvil And Rotating Hammer Strike Iron
A comminution machine having a stationary anvil and rotating hammer strike iron. In such machines, when hammer heads are worn out, the entire hammer strike iron must always be replaced, insofar as a uniform quality is to be achieved in the comminuted material. This is very cost-intensive. The invention thus proposes a novel hammer strike iron having an insert piece which has a cylindrical, eccentric bore or an eccentric oblong hole for receiving a swivel pin of the comminution machine. The insert piece has cheeks of differing thickness on both ends, such that, by rotating the insert piece in the hammer strike iron by 180, the distance between the hammer head and the anvil can be varied. If a hammer head has been inadmissibly worn, the insert piece can be removed, turned 180, and reinstalled. The gap between the anvil and the hammer head can thus be uniformly regulated.
Hammer
The various embodiments disclosed and pictured illustrate a hammer for comminuting various materials. The embodiments pictured and described herein are primarily for use with a rotatable hammermill assembly. The hammer includes a connector end having a rod hole therein, a contact end for delivery of energy to the material to be comminuted, and a neck affixing the connector end to the contact end. The neck is formed with at least one neck recess therein. In other embodiments, one or more shoulders are positioned around the periphery of the rod hole for added strength. In still other embodiments, the contact end is configured with more than one contact surface.
DISPOSAL APPARATUS, DISPOSAL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISPOSING OF FOOD LEFTOVERS
A proposal is made for a disposal apparatus for disposing of food leftovers. The disposal apparatus comprises at least one comminuter, which has at least one grinding chamber and at least one collecting chamber. The grinding chamber is connected to the collecting chamber via one or more openings. At least one comminuting device having at least one impact tool for comminuting the food leftovers is arranged in the grinding chamber. In addition, at least one mixing device for generating a movement in the food leftovers is arranged in the grinding chamber. A method for disposing of food leftovers is furthermore proposed.

Hammer
The various embodiments disclosed and pictured illustrate a hammer cluster for comminuting various materials. The embodiments pictured and described herein are primarily for use with a rotatable hammermill assembly. An illustrative embodiment of a hammer cluster may include at least two hammers each having a connection portion, a contact portion, and a neck connecting the contact and connection portions. The connection portions may include a connection aperture with a relief cavity having a tab on either side thereof. A collar having a collar gap defined by two collar edges may be inserted through connection apertures of each hammer. The collar edges may engage the respective tabs such that the hammers and the collar may rotate about a rod positioned within the collar as a singular unit.
