Solid-bowl centrifuge screw having a screw hub
A solid-bowl centrifuge screw with a screw hub with a first welding layer applied to a base, and at least a second welding layer applied to the first welding layers. Thus, the screw hub is produced by a shaping build-up welding method.
HEAVY PHASE LIQUID DISCHARGE ELEMENT FOR A CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR, CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING TWO LIQUID PHASES
The present disclosure relates to a heavy phase liquid discharge element, a centrifugal separator comprising the element and to a method of separating two liquid phases. The heavy phase liquid discharge element comprises at least one inlet opening on a first side of the heavy phase liquid discharge element, the at least one inlet opening being adapted to face an interior of the centrifugal separator, and at least two separate outlet channels defining an outlet on the second side of the heavy phase liquid discharge element, wherein at least a portion of each of the outlet channels overlaps with the at least one inlet opening, thereby forming a liquid pathway between the at least one inlet opening and the outlet defined by the at least two outlet channels through which the liquid can pass. By this design, pressure losses in the heavy phase liquid outlets can be decreased.
Solid-bowl centrifuge screw having a screw flight
A solid-bowl centrifuge screw with a screw flight is provided. The screw flight has at least a first welding layer on a base body of the solid-bowl centrifuge and at least a second welding layer on the first welding layer. Thus, plural welding layers are disposed successively on one another and are applied by shaping build-up welding.
SOLID BOWL SCREW CENTRIFUGE
A solid bowl centrifuge includes a rotatable drum having a cylindrical portion with length L.sub.1 and a conical portion with length L.sub.2, which, when added, give the length L.sub.T of the drum. A screw is arranged in the drum and is rotatable relative to the rotatable drum with a differential speed. At least two drum bearings for supporting the drum in the housing are spaced apart with a spacing L.sub.L. A spacing L.sub.L of the drum bearings for supporting the drum relative to one another is less than the length L.sub.T of the drum.
CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR
A centrifugal separator having a device for the transformation of kinetic energy of a liquid rotating in a discharge chamber around a rotational axis to pressure energy includes a discharge element for the discharge of liquid out of the discharge chamber, which discharge element has a radially outer part shaped as a body of revolution about the rotational axis and is arranged to be located in a rotating liquid body in the discharge chamber, and at least one outlet channel formed in the discharge element and having an inlet opening located in a surface of the body of revolution and elongated in the liquid flow direction, the inlet opening connecting to the interior of an outlet tube via the outlet channel. The outlet channel has a defined axial height and a defined width which vary along their extension from the inlet opening to the connection to the outlet tube in such a way that a defined aspect ratio h/w decreases along at least a part of the extension of the outlet channel. A defined aspect ratio h/w is larger than 1 in an outer first part of the outlet channel and decreases to smaller than 1 in an inner second part of the outlet channel and the height decreases inwardly along the length of the outlet channel.
DECANTING THREE PHASE CENTRIFUGE
In a decanting three-phase centrifuge, the position of the paring disc within a paring pump chamber defined by a rotatable bowl is radially adjustable to provide a cut point between a heavy fluid phase and a light fluid phase of a slurry and thereby separate the two phases. At least one sensor senses a fluid parameter of the separated heavy fluid phase and/or the separated light fluid phase and outputs a fluid parameter signal representative of the sensed fluid parameter. The control unit is programmed to, on the fly; receive the fluid parameter signal; determine from the received fluid parameter signal whether the cut point is to be adjusted; and if the cut point is to be adjusted, automatically drive the actuator to radially adjust the paring disc and thereby reset the cut point on the fly while the centrifuge is operating.
Decanter Centrifuge
A decanter centrifuge includes a centrifugal bowl rotatable around a preferably horizontal axis of rotation including at least one liquid phase discharge outlet at one end and at least one solids discharge opening at the other end, a scroll conveyor mounted substantially concentrically inside the bowl for rotation about said axis of rotation of said centrifugal bowl at a slightly different speed relative to the bowl for transporting the solid phase towards said solids discharge opening. The liquid phase discharge is enabled through port members. A set of bushings for solid discharge is provided to adjust the solid discharge diameter inside the bowl. With these bushings optimal cake discharge may be achieved.
OUTLET DEVICE OF A SOLID-BOWL SCREW CENTRIFUGE WITH A DIVERTING CHANNEL
The invention relates to an outlet device (10) of a solid-bowl screw centrifuge for separating a multi-phase material, which outlet device is arranged on an end wall (12) of a centrifuge drum, which rotates about a longitudinal axis, at an outlet opening (20) formed in the end wall, which outlet device comprises a diverting channel (22) for diverting a liquid phase of the material which passes through the outlet opening (20), wherein the diversion relative to the longitudinal axis amounts to an angle (32) between 50 and 90 with respect to the circumferential direction, and which outlet device has an aligned rectilinear weir edge (30) for limiting the emergence of the liquid phase, wherein the angle of the alignment of the weir edge (30) relative to the end wall (12) as viewed from the outlet opening (20) amounts to between 0 relative to the end wall and minus 6 toward the end wall.
