CONTROLLING MENISCUS POSITION FOR MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC METAL MANUFACTURING
Devices, systems, and methods are directed to applying magnetohydrodynamic forces to liquid metal to eject liquid metal along a controlled pattern, such as a controlled three-dimensional pattern as part of additive manufacturing of an object. Electric current delivered to a meniscus of the liquid metal in a quiescent state can be directed to exert a pullback force on the liquid metal. The pullback force can be sufficient to draw the liquid metal, in the quiescent state, in a direction toward the nozzle to reduce the likelihood of unintended wetting of surfaces of the nozzle between uses of the nozzle.
Apparatus for applying an electrically spun fiber
An applicator is disclosed for applying a treatment solution to a treatment site of a patient. The applicator can include an applicator housing comprising a treatment solution reservoir. A cartridge can be removably disposed in the housing. The cartridge when arranged in the housing can be in fluid communication with the treatment solution reservoir. The cartridge can include an electrostatic module for electrostatically charging the treatment solution in the treatment solution reservoir; and a nozzle for applying the treatment solution.
SPRAY IONIZATION DEVICE, ANALYSIS DEVICE, AND SURFACE COATING DEVICE
A spray ionization device is provided with: a first tube body having a first flow channel through which a first fluid can flow, and having, at one end thereof, a first outlet for spraying the first liquid; a second tube body having a second flow channel through which a second fluid can flow, and having, at one end thereof, a second outlet for spraying the second liquid; an outer tube that has a gas flow channel through which a gas can flow, the outer tube having, at one end thereof, a spray port that is covered with a porous member; and an electrode that is provided between the first flow channel, the second channel, and the first outlet or the second outlet and the porous member, the electrode allowing for a voltage to be applied to the first liquid and/or the second liquid by a power source.
TOOL FOR POWERED SPRAYER
The present disclosure is directed to a tool for operating a nozzle holder. The nozzle holder is configured to couple a spray nozzle to a spray device, and includes an outer ring movable between a holding position and a release position. The nozzle holder is configured to securely hold the spray nozzle when the outer ring is in the holding position, and release the spray nozzle when the outer ring is in the release position. The tool includes an elongated body including a first end that defines an annular rim and a pocket that communicates with the annular rim. The annular rim is configured to selectively engage the outer ring to move the outer ring from the holding position to the release position. The elongated body also includes a second end that defines a recess configured to selectively receive and hold a portion of the spray nozzle.
ELECTROSTATIC COATING HANDGUN
An electrostatic coating handgun configured to spray electrically charged atomized paint onto a workpiece. The electrostatic coating handgun includes: a body portion extending in a longitudinal direction, the longitudinal direction being the same direction as a spraying direction; a grip portion to be held by an operator, the grip portion extending downward from a rear part of the body portion; a rotating head configured to emit the paint, the rotating head being rotatably supported by a front end of the body portion; an air motor configured to apply rotational power to the rotating head, the air motor being located behind the rotating head in the body portion; and a high voltage generator configured to apply a voltage to the paint to be emitted from the rotating head. The air motor is located forward of the grip portion, whereas the high voltage generator is located above the grip portion.
FINNED ROD FOR ELECTRIFICATION OF SPRAYED DROPLETS
The following abstract for the invention relates to the development of a finned rod for electrifying sprayed droplets, which employs a check valve, equipped with a first threaded nipple for attachment to the spray bar and liquid inlet, solidary to the body of the anti-protection valve, having a second nipple, this one for attachment of said body to the angulator, containing an angle adjusting screw and at the rotatable end couples the third threaded nipple, wherein coupling the curved finned rod the third nipple, which receives the fourth nipple in the fastener element, where the multiflow selector is threaded.
